My Mule
I've shown you photos of my miniature donkeys; now here's a picture of one of my two Mules—a Kawasaki Mule, that is. By definition, a mule is the offspring of a male donkey and a female horse and typically used as a beast of burden. And it's also a very fitting name for these rugged little vehicles. I use them to drive all around my 153 acres. I can get into narrow places that a car could never go. They have both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. We use them to haul all sorts of cargo around the property, and because they're so open, the Mules are easy to wash out. They're also a lot of fun, and Paw Paw, Francesca, and Sharkey never hesitate to jump in for a ride. My nephew, Charlie, has been visiting the farm frequently; I gave him permission to practice his driving skills until he's old enough to receive his license. Here he is with his friend Lisette:p>

Your Kawasaki Mule does look like so much fun in addition to being a beast of burden. I can see that it would be helpful all around your property. Paw Paw, Francesca, and Sharkey as well as your nephew Charlie and his friend Lisette must be enjoying it.

Dear Martha,
Having run a show horse stable for 23 Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation horses for 6 years with my husband, those little vehicles are a great help. Although we did not have 153 acres to maintain, they still make chores immensely easier. Loved the picture of your nephew Charlie as well, last time I saw a photo of him he was much younger. Time flies! When I see Charlie, I always think of your sister Laura and remember her fondly on an episode from the original series from New Year's Day and cooking her chili and that awesome cornbread in the iron skillet! Still making that every year for New Year's Day to this day!

Charlie was always a fun guest on your MSL show so when is he going to make an appearance on your new show? Let him know we miss him and would love to see him in the kitchen again or possibly in the craft room. It looks like he is really enjoying the Mule; that is a great piece of machinery! Trish

Great machines, we have worn out quite a few. It is wonderful for my neighbors as they are in their late 60's; still carrying feed to their pigs. The back of yours should be full of 5 gallon buckets, shovels, posts and maybe a salt block or two--irrigation tubes and plastic dams then you will look like a farmer.

Hi Martha, I love your new show and the fact that you are interacting with the audience! I have used a gas-powered golf cart on our farm for a number of years. (now retired). It was so great for getting around after I had surgery on my knee and our (then) puppy, Buddy could learn to ride!

Gosh, I agree with the other bloggers....Charlie is now a handsome young man and I can remember him on your Halloween shows and with Laura, as well as him sleeping on the covershot of your MSL magazine!! LOL

We too have a mule for use around our farm. Ours is red and a real workhorse (lol!). We have a mini mare who will be 3 in April. I have been toying with getting a mini donkey to see if they would produce a mini mule....does that work the same for minis?

martha i love your program i watch it everyday. i would love to see your show again with your beautiful horses. Your show with Shania was so awesome. I love horses. Maybe one of your shows could show your horses and your beautiful place. Most of all I admire your time that you had to spent at campcupcake, some of these young girls that are doing some time certainly didnot have the real jail time as you had to do. And i am sure you did not have all the necessities that Paris and all those girls had. You go girl i was behind you all the way. And you carried your head up with high pride and iam sure it was not easy. however, my prayers i said for you everyday. and on day of release and your show with the ankle bracelets was just to cute. Martha you are such an awesome person, and your show I have watched for along time. Now i have your magazine. Your little donkeys are so cute.
But your Black horses are totally awesome. I love horses I have a black tennessee walker. I sure would like to have Black horses you have. again i hope do a show with shania and you again that was my favorite show.
