We got about 12 inches on Monday. I've been pulling pictures of different outdoor fire pit areas. We have an area where we have a fire pit but I want a wall around the whole thing. I would love to see a picture of it without the snow. It looks like what I envision for our yard. We love sitting around and hearing all the animals from the marsh and woods that abut our property. After taking a leap of faith in my husband, I've agreed to leave the corporate world for "greener" pastures in Maine. Whethor foolish or brilliant - here we are!! I'm actually writing this post from Seal Harbor, where we are currently exploring the possibility of relocating for his new venture nearby (boat building) and trying to find answers to my numerous questions like "what does one do here in the winter???" How relieved I am to find your blogs and many photos of the area to aid the decision making process. I still remember the huge meal served with the beautiful pink cranberry glass goblets and the pink transferware and the leaded windows in the background. Your handmade woodland Christmas decorations were perfect for the setting. Skylands is truly a magnificent home and we all thank you for sharing your homes with all of us.
