Dear Martha,

You have an incredible library! I stumbled on this link from the Collectorz.com website. I've been using their bookcollector software for a few years now. I have one room that is a library with many antiques BEAUTIFUL books. I have over 500. I just ordered the Pro Scanner from their site too.
PS - I heard about Paw Paws, I'm so sorry. I had a Siamese cat named Juniper. Mom got her for me when I was 9, she lived to almost 27! People would say "that isn't the same cat you had as a kid is it?"
Best Wishes

For the first person that asked about a CD organizing program, the collectorz people make one for that too. They have programs for Books, DVDs (any video really), CD's, comic books, video games, photos, and mp3's. They have all kinds of stuff and I actually use most of their products to handle my massive archives!

We are so sorry to hear of paw paw's passing...we have a 15 1/2 year old water dog and he is the joy of our life...he has two tumors so we are especially thankful for every day that we have him... Our 5 year old cat follows him everwhere and has been his very special friend since we lost our precious red chow chow, MoJo, 3 years ago, helping him get over the lonliness as the two dogs were inseparable...we even had our computer name....checkers...standing for
( red for mojo...black for Moedog) so you can see how much a part of our lives our precious dogs are to us....

May your heart heal....we dread the day that our Moey is gone from our lives ...

Faithful viewers for many many years....Ron and Dolores Hill

Even still my heart is still breaking for the loss of Paw Paw. I have 2 male Chows and 1 female. I will be having a batch of puppies sometime within the next 6 mos and I would be so very proud and honored if you would accept a puppy as a gift from the bottom of my heart. It will never replace Paw Paw in your heart but I am sure there is enough love within you to spare for the little fellow.

On your TV show Monday, May 5th during the Kindle segment, you talked about a favorite book of yours that you would like to see turned into a movie. I missed the title and would like to read the book. Would you please share the name again? Thank you so much! Carolyn James

As a recent (Dec 2007) graduate (Masters in Library and Information Science), I was facinated by this blog! Oh, if I only could have even just one room at home devoted to my books! And I thought that I had a large collection-over 7,000!! Since I am in charge of the stacks in my library, I can honestly say that I am curious as to how you decided to organize your titles. Do you do it by subject, then author (as I do at home), or did you do it by actual LC number?

I was so sorry to hear about Paw Paw. He was such a beautiful dog! I also had a Chow Chow named Amber for 16 years and she was the sweetest dog ever. I always thought of her when I would see Paw Paw. Thank you for sharing him with all of us.
Debbie
