Hi Martha
You are just too cute! I love you and your shows!
My sister & I want to blog but don't really know how. We just email each other but blogging is better, I understand. We BOTH love your show!!
My husband & I went to visit friends in Maine a few years ago, actually 2 times. We also saw the sun come up in Acadia National Park! It was FABULOUS!! I was in an aircast at the time, but didn't let it stop me.!!!
Love you

Hi Martha,

Thanks for posting your wonderful speech. And am so happy you like Maine as much as I do. I like it so much, I've started a website and blog and you are often mentioned. I'll do a posting on your speech soon.

Just thought you might like to know that Wordpress will let you use a 'thickbox' for your slide show. So the viewer won't have to navigate away from page and the page won't have to reload with each photo. I know you've seen them in use. Let me know if you need more information on it. I love it the way it works.

Cheers, Susan

Hi, Martha,
Thanks for the tour of the beautiful state of Maine by way of your Pot and Kettle speech. From the landscape to writers such as Sarah Orne Jewett, Robert McCloskey, E. B. White, and Stephen King to foods like lobster and chowder, Raye's mustard, potatoes, blueberries, and whoopie pies to beautiful sea glass---I am fascinated.

I never tire of hearing about or seeing photos of Maine and Skylands. Both are such beautiful places. That view you have from your porch is so breathtaking! I recall the birthday party you hosted for all of your August birthday friends and I was so impressed with all the details such as measuring the space between each table so people had plenty of room to move about.

Did you mention how you remove that pink granite every year in your driveway and put it back every spring or the special straw you have made for the pathways in your gardens? You are the quintessential caretaker for Skylands and you keep it perfect enough to impress the Edsel Fords and the world!

Your speech was very thorough; if I ever wanted research done on something, I would wish to ask you to do it. Trish

Hi Martha, This is by far one of your best blogs. I could spend all day viewing your fantastic photos and reading all of your narrative comments and your absolutely marvelous speech. Talk about learning something new everyday! All one ever has to do is visit marthastewart.com, read your magazines, listen to sirius radio 112, watch your TV shows, etc., etc., etc.! You are the best and you make living and learning absolutely fabulous! Thanks again for all that you do. Jan

Martha, simply stated, I a-d-o-r-e you!

I haven't even looked at pictures yet...here I go...

I also love Mt. Desert Island and encourage all to visit if given the chance. I spend at least 2 weeks in the summer hiking, biking, shopping and eating. The highlight, of course, is the fresh Maine lobsters and one of the best places to go is Beal's in Southwest harbor. Also don't miss the Lobster Bisque at Jordan Pond House in the heart of Acadia National Park. It's well worth the wait.

Martha, Thank You for informing us about the State of Maine. Your speech gave us a lot of information about Maine in a nutshell. I was particularly interested in the Sea Glass. I have a website business that sells hobby tools for the crafter. I received a call from a gal from the East Coast asking how she could drill a hole in sea glass. I was glad I could help her and she was happy to continue her jewelry making with ease. I would love to see a guest come on your show that collects sea glass and creates the jewelry.
Every day, Martha, I look forward to all the informative articles that you are sharing with us. It's Great!
