The Whatever girls poke fun at me on their new show! Have a look!
Yesterday was the opening of Season 4 of "The Martha Stewart Show," my daily television show and from the lineup I've seen, I think viewers will be quite pleased with all the episodes to follow. Well, this evening is the long-awaited primetime premier of "Whatever, Martha!," a weekly half-hour series featuring my daughter, Alexis, and Jennifer Koppelman Hutt, her Sirius Satellite Radio cohost of "Whatever with Alexis and Jennifer."
"Whatever, Martha!" can be seen on the Fine Living Network (FLN) at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Inspired by the cult classic series "Mystery Science Theatre," Alexis and Jennifer analyze and make comments -- often acerbic ones -- about past episodes of my show. I think it's really quite humorous and amusing. You can also read about the Whatever girls online musings on their blog. If you want to read about other radio shows on my Sirius channel, check out the radio blog.
To celebrate the launch of their season, Alexis and Jennifer threw a party on the rooftop at the Empire Hotel in New York City. It was a beautiful evening to be outdoors and the party was a huge success! Have a look at these photos and I hope you tune into their show!
Here is a little preview!

Can I be Kevin? He always gets to be with you! Haha!

Of course the opening show was fabulous with the views of your manse from every angle. Especially loved the animals. How can you top this show. But I'm sure somehow, someway you will. Great going Martha and thanks for a lovely show. Cynthia

Hi Martha, I love your first show of the new season. It was absolutely spectacular! Everything in the pastures, the barns, the landscape around the buildings, the flower, shade and vegetable gardens, the ginko, fig and red maple trees all looked beautiful. The animals look so healthy and happy. Glad to see that Martyn is doing better. I missed the name of the 5th horse that started with an M. Francesca and Sharkey looked like they were having lots of fun. The little chow chows sure have grown into darling little puppies. I am so happy for you that you finally chose one! Now, what are you going to name this little prince charming? The blog about the new show Whatever, Martha is great, too. The photos of you, Alexis, Jennifer and Kevin are really the best. It looks like everyone had a great time at the party. I love Alexis' new hairdo. She really looks stunning in her poses! Can't wait for tomorrow's show and the premier of Whatever, Martha! Thanks for all you do. Jan

I can't wait to see Alexis and Jennifer! I've always vibed with Alexis's forthright personality. I loved it when she appeared with you on your apprentice show, Martha (which was awesome!). And Alexis as someone around the same age group as you, let me give you some special kudos for looking as stunning and hot as you do. Zowie! It's a great age, isn't it? Oh, and Martha you look as stylish and attractive as ever. Some genes you two have!

Hi, Martha,
Congratulations on the opening of your new season. I look foreward to the rest of the shows.
What is your new puppy's name? He is so cute! Whoever chooses the other two will be so lucky to have Paw Paw's handsome grandsons.
The party on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel that your daughter Alexis and co-host Jennifer Koppelman Hutt threw to celebrate the launch of their season of "Whatever, Martha!" sounds like a fun evening!

Hi Martha
Your farm is absolutely beautiful, I would never want to leave the property, its amazing. Loved the show however I was totally freaked when you only picked one puppy. How could you have those puppies visit then send 2 home, how sad.
Looking forward to watching Whatever Martha.
Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Best wishes to you and Alexis for another successful season!

Hi Martha,
It looks like it was a fun party; everyone certainly looks gorgeous. If I wore the shoes you and Alexis had on, I would never walk again! Good for you that you can wear them.
I hope "Whatever, Martha!" is a huge success. The clip was very cute! Trish

Love the new show and am excited to see all that will be coming. Unfortunately I don't have access to Whatever on FLN(maybe they can bring it on regualr cable) Love your farm and was wondering how you can do it ALL (I know you have help but it still is lots of input to keep track of everyhting you have going) I hear that you will have a mag in Poland. Is there anyway I can order for my cousins that live there. I know they would love to have a copy and enjoy you as much as I do.

WoW, how funny your show was today!
You never show any frustration, but I have to say today was a true test for you! I never laughed so hard when Jennifer dumped all those sprinkles on that cake. She might be a great poster child for you cooking contest!
Good thing she didn't have Dragees! Their show should be a hit!

I was worried about the new show with Alexis and Jennifer because I get really annoyed when people make fun of Martha! Fortunately it doesn't seem particularly malicious, but more like a light-hearted verbalization of what we may be thinking at home while watching Martha.
Also, the circle cutter Martha showed on her program today was so simple, yet I got really excited about it! I want one! Who hasn't tried to cut out circles freehand and had difficulty? The cutter is definitely cool.

As long as you're okay with the poking fun, Martha, it's all good. I had seen previews of this new show, and wasn't too sure how the tone (I experienced) would come across. (And) like the others yesterday who couldn't view your new season, due to programming changes within their regions, my cable provider isn't currently offering the Fine Living Network where I live! Sooooo...I won't be viewing Alexis' and Jennifer's new show. They both look grrreat, though!...love Alexis' hair, and Jennifer's red/auburn tresses are beautiful (being a fellow redhead, myself [strawberry blonde, actually] )
YESTERDAY!...YOUR SHOW!...I got to see it last nite (for you fellow bloggers, I gave my rundown of what would happen last nite, in yesterday's blog - go home, eat, pet cats, rewind Martha, view, savor, etc)... I LOVED IT!...IT WAS THE BEST, EVER! (And) I've been viewing for m-a-n-y years, yes, back to the Turkey Hill Road episodes (the cooking AND gardening shows). Like several bloggers yesterday, I too liked this up-close-and-personal format, similar to your previous series' taped at THRoad...just l-o-v-e-d it! You looked fabulous - rested, relaxed - and were just so gracious to all the guests, like, you knew them already, and they were old friends (alluding to the audience guests helping to pick the garden vegetables). I could've rested and gotten comfortable on my sofa, but no, I was up on the edge of the seat the whole time, watching with excitement (me, and my one cat =^..^= )...it was wonderful!
Hmmmm...let's see what'll be on tonite...
...From your undying (admittedly goofy) fan in Western Maryland...
(I can't help it!)
=^..^=

Martha, you're such a good sport to let 'the girls' poke fun at you like that. They were fun on your show this morning, although Jennifer's sprinkle fetish needs to be analyzed by a professional.

We need good shows that make us laugh. I think the Whatever Martha! will do the job with great aplomb. We have all been there and to laugh at our attempts of doing a perfect Martha only to see it go way south. Great.
I am so thrilled you have done this show.

I am so pleased and delighted to have found you once again in the morning slot (10 a.m.) here in Traverse City, Michigan. Finally, I can watch you and your show again. I think I was only able to catch two shows after you went to that awful afternoon slot and I sure did miss you. Mornings work for me and I'll be there watching on 9&10.
Thanks for changing,

Martha,
You are such a confident person and such a great sport to be a part of the "Whatever Martha" Show! I cannot wait to watch it. I just have to say although there have been many comments on how gorgeous Alexis is, (and she is that) I think Jennifer is adorable and seems so down to earth, I would love to know what products she uses on or in her hair- it always looks stunning! For a Mom, as I am as well, Jennifer always seems very put together which can be really hard to do, when you also work outside the home. Please Jennifer, will you share some of your secrets with us?
Martha... looking forward to all you have in store for us this season, thanks for giving us so much to look forward to!

YEA, I found the new show from September 15, on channel. 151 FLN Station and the show after with the girls making fun of Martha was so funny it sounded like my daughter when she is making fun of me. It cracked me up. I am so happy to find where I can watch the new season even if I have to wait the next day to see it. For some reason ABC ch, 6 are still showing repeats in the morning.

I guess I missed the announcement that the new puppy was Paw Paw's grandson. Is that true?
Last fall you took my 1 1/2 year old grandson's picture while he was petting Paw Paw at the Farmer's Market in Bar Harbor. Hope to run into you again this fall so he can pet the new puppy. I'm sure he'll find the size difference to be quite puzzling!
Great shows - welcome back!

You just mentioned on your show about John Mccain not using a computer, did you know that he is unable to type due to injuries sustained during his imprisonment? I am not a Mccain suporter, but i do not believe he should be made fun of like that. This information is well known, I'm surprized your guest blogger didn't know it. It made you seen cruel.

The cable companies in my area are not carrying Martha on our usual channel....it "should" be seen on another network. As a result, the season opener was not shown in our area. Any chance of re-running it in the near future? Sorry I missed seeing your home. It's always been a pleasure to see into your home-life.

Hi Martha, your first show was great, you are my inspiration. I loved everything about your property in NY. I'm Sicilian, so I saw that you have Sicilian donkeys. Are they really stubborn? I loved your vegetable garden, I'm tried to grow finocchio this year for the first time and we had no luck, but the plants are making the seeds and I'll save them for next year. You inspired me to grow artichokes. I'll be thrilled if we can grow them. You also inspired me to start my blog. I haven't finished yet. Good luck in this coming year with the new show.

I loved your opening show, from the farm! It really gave the show that extra "upclose and personel" feel. You switched networks, and I had to track you down, now to work it into my available time for viewing. As for "Whatever Martha" show, I don't get the FLN so won't be viewing it, but I have a gut feeling it will eventually come off appearing to be some what of a "mommy dearest" with Alexis continually making negative remarks. I think their time could be spent on something more positive, then making you look like a buffoon, after all your years spent teahing all of us so many "good things". I don't like the idea of this show.

This is my first attempt at blogging. I am a senior citizen, recently retired from a 21-year job as an Executive Secretary and, hopefully, will find this as another way to fill my days at home and keep in touch with the world.
I very much enjoy your morning TV show and am sorry that I, as well as many other viewers, cannot accesss FLN. I was told that I would have to upgrade to digital which I plan to do in the near future.
My daughter enjoys your daughter's Sirrius Radio show and has spoken with her a few times. I'm looking forward to seeing her on the new show.
I have a great deal of admiration for you. You are a remarkable person and I don't know how in the world you do the many things you do each day. You are also a very attractive woman, have a good sense of humor and are a good sport. Thanks for bringing pleasure into my life and many others.

The "Whatever, Martha" show is so fun! And even though they are poking fun at you, everyone can see that there is some genuine love behind it. That's what makes it funny - it's not too mean. Although it is very surprising what they say! I'll be recording every episode along with my Martha! Thanks for your blog- I love it too!

Whatever, Martha has me in stitches every evening! It reminds me of how my niece and nephew would react (sans the "naughty" talk - they were only kids then) when my sister would watch Martha Stewart Living.
I laughed out loud while the girls were ripping on the labeled linen closet because I was thinking, "Wow, I wonder where she got those catalogue label holders" as I've been on a wild goose chase looking for them for nearly a year.
Michaels, specialty hardware stores, and office supply stores didn't have them, and I'm leery of buying online because I want to see what they look like. Martha, if you're reading this, how about scaring up a few label holders for your craft line @ Michaels?

I loved your show on blogging. I have been blogging for a few years on Yahoo 360. It was a way of communicating with my son and his wife . Her in Alaska and he in Iraq. Then I moved on to blogging on Mulitply. I got involved with a couple of photography groups and it has helped me learn more and venture out with my camera.

I stumbled on the Whatever show one night when driving home, and started listening. I was hooked immediately. Alexis and Jennifer were hysterical. I love the idea of them doing a segment with you on your show! I expect lots of snarky commentary, all in good fun of course!
Thanks Martha for so many wonderful ideas via your magazine, books, show, etc.

As a loyal viewer, magazine subscriber, craft kit buyer and general admirer of Martha Stewart, I am appalled at the whatever show. It is filled with snarkiness that is supposed to pass for witty banter. I would really like to see your older shows again, but not with the negativity that these two young women offer up. This show doesn't have any of the good natured humor of Mystery Science Theater.
Alexis comes across as a deeply troubled over botoxed young woman. Laugh lines and frown lines are a sign of character. I hope she finds some happiness.
The shoes in the pictures look like torture to wear and don't flatter either mother or daughter.

Martha what a great idea, i have LAUGHED and LAUGHED at the "whatever" episodes. and i LOVE when Alexis tell's stories, i hope they are true like the one about you pushing someone in the pool with your finger tip.. i can't image you doing that but how funny!
This is great! I hope she's not TOO MEAN to you.. but this is hilarious!
I'm enjoying seeing some of the old episodes too!

Really enjoyed the show with your daughter. Your other shows have been great, too. My only complaint (sorry) is any remark about any political candidate. We've been drowning in politics on tv for, what, a year? I would imagine that your viewers are like me in that they watch your shows for your invaluable advice on home, gardening, and entertaining. Please, please, stick to those subjects. You are the best. Thanks.

Hi Martha~
As you know we are all a little short on funds this holiday season. My family has decided to spend an entire day doing some sort of CRAFT in lieu of buying gifts. Do you have any suggestions? We will have a wide variety of ages to keep entertained the youngest being 6.
I would love any ideas you have.

I like the new show "Whatever Martha" and have gotten some of my friends hooked. I never used to watch Martha Stewart, but this has made me start tuning in to The Martha Stewart Show now. I just wish the "language" could be toned down a little because my 12-yr old daughter likes to watch with me.

Martha,
We have been watching you for years through your books, tv, specials et al. Your staff has stood by you for good times and bad. To have yor daughter and her "no talent" friend -who is she critizie your hard work to keep her in her preppy snotty schools are beyond me. You are an icon and someone who should be recognized as such and your daughter only makes a mockery of your efforts. Why don't you have her get a real job and gain some weight. I am sure she has never even cooked a meal in her life or taken care of a dog. Your biggest success should be a normal daughter but, thank goodness, it's that you have given women hope, and great guidance. You have helped millions but not your own. We thank you everyday for your inspiration. SM
