Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit: Day One

Last week, a small group of women and I flew out to San Diego because I was invited, once again, to take part in Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit. I have been invited, I think, five times but have only been able to attend three times.

Now in its 10th year, this summit is a gathering of the most amazing women leaders in business, government, academia, philanthropy, and the arts. This is really a fascinating and educational experience –- two and a half days of talks, interviews, debates, and riveting panels. The invited guests are asked to contribute to the summit and I offered to teach a yoga class, sort of as a joke. Well, they loved the idea and I invited my niece Sophie Herbert to come along. Sophie is a wonderful yoga teacher in New York City and she graciously helped with the class. She also took home a great deal of knowledge from attending this conference. Enjoy these photos of the first part of the gathering and visit tomorrow's blog to see pictures of the yoga and more of the event.

Our beautiful yoga room was setup the evening before. We went to make sure that everything was in good order...to be continued tomorrow!
