Introducing my latest book, and check out this "Today" show segment!
I have always wanted to write a book devoted to teaching how to cook, and I am very proud to introduce "Martha Stewart's Cooking School: Lessons for the Home Cook." This book is geared to home cooks everywhere and at any level. You can think of it as a culinary masterclass, with all of the lessons organized by technique. It's filled with 200 original recipes and 500 beautiful and informative photographs.
In "Martha Stewart's Cooking School," we provide advice on the essential cooking tools and equipment, tips on how to select the best ingredients, and step-by-step instructions on the techniques every home cook needs to know in order to produce a variety of recipes. This book is the perfect gift for anyone interested in learning how to cook. It's also a really great way to increase knowledge and confidence for those who wish to be more adept in the kitchen.

Congratulations on the book. How exciting - I am looking forward to getting it. I certainly could do with a cooking class or two. Loved the Today Show segment - you make it look so easy! I love eggs in every way they can possibly be made too! Thanks for posting.

I caught you on The Today Show I usually forget to watch but try to catch you when you appear on bi weekly Wednesdays.
Thank you , thank you for announcing the dates of your book signings on your show, it really does help your readers find you. Maybe in your blog later on you will post your own pix of your staff taking pix at these signings, you know from the inside looking out lol!
Thank you also for posting booksinging dates at http://www.marthastewart.com/cookingschool
It is nice when you can let us know a little in advance when you will be making guests appearances and booksignings so we can catch them if we so desire.
I am excited to be seeing you again come November 10th, if all goes well U saw you on the same date in LA two years ago. We requested Tonight Show tickets for the same day, waiting to see if we requested in enough time to get them or not. So we hope to see you there on the 10th.
Last booksigning I went to for you was for The Homekeeping Handbook, I am going to be prepared this time and take a heavy duty tote bag to carry my books around since these books are so big, your cooking school book looks to be almost the same weight. If anyone plans attend a booksigning & buy more then one book please do yourself a favor and bring along a sturdy tote or bag as the book store bags are very flimsy and your hands will tire easily from carrying these babies around, save yourself from backache lol!
I carried around nine books and let me tell you I almost died of book fatigue lol!
Martha you need to take Meridith under your wing and teach her how to appreciate cooking, she needs a LOT of help!!!!!

Martha, you are so wise and elegant! I loved this segment and how well you interacted with Matt and Meredith. It was light, fun and absolutely informative. Perhaps it's time to make some eggs Benedict myself!
Thanks for the constant inspiration!

I saw the today show piece thought it was great. I often wonder how you don't look at Meredith and go "Come ON Mer, I'm Martha. Of course I clean up the edges of my eggs." And then roll your eyes. Ordered two copies of the book. One for a give away on my blog. Can't wait to get them both!

I wish there was a DVD (even 2 or 3)or even a mini series on PBS (like Juila) to go along with the Cooking school book!
THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT!!!

Hi Martha, What fantastic photos of your latest "Today Show" appearance. It was really great to see you on the show again. Your latest book sure looks like another winner. Waiting to see how long it will be on the best sellers list. What a great subject for your latest tome. Like so many others, I am so glad to learn new things about cooking, especially from you. Thanks again for all you do for us. Jan

...another cause for celebration, Martha! (yet another milestone!) I, for one, will be getting your book. I hinted last nite that Christmas and my birthday are coming. [giggle]
If you remember as you've read my posts, I haven't been particularly fond of cooking (but I passed your cooking/kitchen quiz with 100%! [does that redeem me any?!!] [grin]) I have learned so much through watching your previous cooking show on the Food Network along with other chefs, and of course, through your current show. In getting back into cooking recently, I've found that I'll need a particular kitchen tool for something that'll do the job just right (one of which I don't have). Recognizing that need is a result of watching your show, day-in and day-out (so your teaching IS effective, and I'm learning!) I AM pleased that I'm finding I enjoy cooking now, especially if I have time! (My mother always wished I'd "develop" in this area).
I feel that I have other areas of the home mastered, and with a concerted effort on my part, and the use of your new handbook, hopefully my practice WILL make perfect!
Much love, and m-a-n-y blessings!
=^..^=

Congratulations on what looks to be a must-have book for anyone and not just the beginner cook. My wish is that you put south Florida on your tour schedule but if not, I will trot over to the book store and buy it anyway. You seem to be having lots of fun with the folks who came out to see you! I think this is going to be a great seller. Trish

Dear Martha,
Congratulations on your new book. The photo you took on the "Today" show is very pretty.
Can't wait to purchase your new book.
(It should help me with my cooking, so that
nobody runs away, when they hear I am cooking.)
Take care.
Have a pleasant day.
Sincerely,
Jeannie

OMG! Martha!
All my soap money goes to buying your books. I have to now more than ever because I do not get your tv show here in Denver anymore!!!

Martha,
I can't wait to pick up a copy of your book. I just finished watching your interview with Thomas Friedman and I plan on adding his book along with yours to my wish list. My only other comment would be~~please encourage your viewers to support their local bookstores. I know Amazon and Barnes & Noble are convenient but our local economies depend on us to keep afloat!

Hello Martha!
You are certainly a wonderful inspiration! I love the way you are encouraging green living and saving in economical ways. This being said, I would like to keep wallpaper that I have in my powder room and because it's getting old, the corners are curling...can I use modge podge over them to paste them back down? I also put a wallpaper wallscape over the back side of the guest room door to hide some holes left by a mirror instead of replacing the door. It is peeling a bit, got any ideas?
Thanks and keep up the great work of teaching America all the wonderful things you teach!

Hey -
Huge fan, I was late for work so I could watch you on this segment and I ended up missing some how anyway...O well.
Anyway, I was wondering if you have been watching Top Design on Bravo. Eddie, who works on your magazine, is doing pretty well. Just curious if you are following. Can you have a blog post with a bunch of photos of projects that he was involved in? I think that would be fun.

I am so excited about your new book and can't wait to get my hands on it. In my have every book Martha wrote including two copies of "Entertaining", (I wore the first one out)collection, there is not one signed copy. I must work on that!
I hope you have a nothing but Halloween ideas book in the works. This year the ideas were great and I am so scared I might have missed one.

Congratulations on another fabulous cooking referance manual. As soon as it was on the shelves, I bought it. I especially enjoy the photos which are a great source of instruction. I'm a full time nursing student and this book is better written than most of my text books and less expensive.
Thank you for writing this wonderful cooking manual and sharing your knowledge with the masses.

Martha,
Can not wait to go through the entire book, I am always looking for ways to update my cooking skills. My family and friends have enjoyed many of the recipies in the everyday Food cook book.
I met you today at the Borders book signing in Birmingham, MI. You looked great!! I loved the shade of lipstick you were wearing.
We used the pumpkin carving kit on Sunday. It was so great to have all the tools in one kit! We also decided to make the Halloween crackers from the October issue on Friday at my son's Halloween party.
Enjoy Halloween,
Leslie

Dear Martha,
I was one of the fortunate ones to see you at your booksigning in Birmingham, Michigan at Border's Bookstore. I am looking forward to reading your wonderful new book "Cooking School" page by page. We live part-time in Michigan and part-time in Temecula near San Diego where we have over 50 fruit trees, figs, tangerines, lemons, grapefruits, quava, mulberry, pomegrantes, apples, apricots, peaches, plums, plumcots along with grapes all in an area 110'x70'. It can be done! How about a cookbook with fruit off the trees. Bonnie DiAngelo, Beverly Hills, MI-Temecula, CA

Dear Martha,
Your generous donation of your new book "Cooking School" was a hit at our Chinese auction in Oct. for the Pennsylvania Mt. Laurel Society of Decorative Painters......I used to teach cooking to my students in the Milton Area School District, Milton, Pa. I am now retired, but still love to cook. I just wish I had had this when I was teaching. It is a wonderful book!
