Hi Martha,

Correction:
I was wrong...Pres. Johnson had 1.2 mil at his inauguration and news said Obama would have 1 mil. Still thin news is way off. I think Obama will have 3 mil.

You know...

If love, grace and humility had a face it'd look like Maya Angelou. I respect this woman immensely. I'm praying for a lottery one day where the winner gets to spend a whole day with this amazing woman.

Man, that would be something!

I've loved Maya Angelou's "Phenomenal Woman" for years, but when I heard her recite it on your show, it took my breath away. Pure jazz. Stunning.

Martha, is there any way you could put a clip of Maya reading her poem on your YouTube channel? I'd love to share it on my blog.

I absolutely loved to see and hear Maya Angelou. What an inspiration she is!

I would love to see the Dreamers into Doers contest become a separate contest for Business(for profit) ideas and Charity or public service(non-profit mainly). There's no contest between making cakes and bisquits versus helping sick or dying children. But these are widespread and worthy endeavors and women still need the same inspiration and knowledge to make money and start businesses in their interest, talent and skill areas. Women are in need like never before to make their own money to support themselves and their families as well as supplying jobs to other people. Most of these businesses will have no chance of getting grants, or donations to sustain their business.

As I mentioned last week, Dr. Angelou is MORE than inspiring! What a beautiful lady - both inside AND out! I had admired and coveted the confidence she exudes. Her recitation was just mesmerizing and magnetic! Thank you for giving us her words today to see visually!

I reiterate today how much I enjoyed this show last week! I was so filled with emotion (not crying, now) while I was watching it - I just felt good feelings overall, seeing these wonderful women full of passion for things they believed in, and in which they found fulfillment...truly "good things"! What a nurturing show it was for me.

We ALL can make a difference in our different walks of life! Be kind, lend a smile, listen (not just hear), be courteous, give respect, hold the door - that's all someone needs, sometimes, to feel valued. Then, you know what?!...that invokes in them to do the same for others - it creates a dominoe effect of sorts, making the world a better place!

Onward and upward!

Hi Martha, You really outdo yourself with each new blog! This behind the scenes blog was absolutely fabulous. Everyone looked like they were having a glorious time. What a great place for a party- your beautiful studio. All of your photos were fantastic. My favorites were of Joey Kola and Maya Angelou with you. Once again, Pierre did a fabulous job of the food presentation. Thanks again for sharing. Jan

It is a beautiful poem written by a beautiful and remarkable woman! I loved the show and was pleased to see Amy Jaffe Barzach win, (I was really moved by the Boundless Playgrounds video), but all of the contestants are 'phenomenal women'.

Also, it was nice to see you in Miami on Saturday at the International Book Fair considering how hot it was in that Atrium. You are so much prettier than on TV and in pictures! Anyway, thanks for signing my copy of your Cooking School book. Trish
