Late Night with Conan O'Brien in case you missed it!
You may have heard that my old pal, Conan O’Brien is leaving his position as host of ‘Late Night With Conan O’Brien’ and will take over for Jay Leno, who is leaving the ‘Tonight Show.’ I must say that I will miss seeing Conan in New York City as he relocating to Los Angeles. I’m sure we’ll still see each other, just not so frequently. Anyway, I dropped in to see Conan the other night to say goodbye and to wish him well in California. Have a look at this video clip.

We are looking forward to Conan coming to California, I will be down to Burbank to see it live!
That was a darling video Martha.
Hugs, Diane

Martha
This really means that you will be visiting us in California more often I know you will!
We will get you here one way or another and Conan is just another way to endear you to our beautiful state right !!!!!!
Regarding your book signings do you ever dream that you are signing books and you have forgotten how to spell your name? Or ever wake up signing in the air?
I know I would.
Enjoyed you on Conan last night but I comments under your book signing blog about that.
Martha I have a dog question for you, my chow chow loves to eat blueberries are these bad for dogs to eat? I know raisins and grapes and some nuts are bad for dogs but what about blueberries? Do you know anything about this topic?
Thank you.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi Martha,
I don't know how you do all that you do and continue to look like a million bucks! I'd be a wash-out! You are everywhere and never seem to run out of steam.
I'm still not quite sure what was in the big bottle you and Conan drank. I only made out Old English….(?) Did anyone hear it clearer? That was a great clip and no doubt you will miss Conan in New York. I wish him great success in L.A. He’s a pretty cool guy. Trish

Hi Martha, I just love the variety of postings that you share with us on your fabulous blog! You are and will always be The Greatest! This final visit to Conan's final New York shows was the best. The two of you are so good together and your bringing him a taco and large ale was really fun! I have been trying to watch his final week of shows and luckily caught your appearance last night. Thanks again for sharing. Jan

Hi Pam from California,
Thanks for all your great comments. To answer your question - to the best of my knowledge, blueberries are fine and healthy for dogs to eat in moderation.

Hi Martha, As always, you are such a great sport. You eating Taco Bell and what looked like furniture polish with Conan. Amazing, thanks!

So funny. I loved the Conan segment MS did with the bed, that one is classic. Too bad this clip cuts off right before she takes a nice swig out of the Olde English bottle -- Conan and all your fans loved that!

Martha,
Conan seems like a nice person and I'm sure he enjoys having you as his dear friend.
Thank you for this great post!
I, also, would like to answer Pam from California about blueberries.
Hi Pam, I did a little research for you on the Internet and many websites state that blueberries are harmless for dogs. I also found that some snacks for dogs have blueberries as an ingredient.
Here is a good link to answer your question.

Ha ha, you and Conan sharing Taco Bell and a 40oz. of Olde English malt liquor. Way too funny! (Yes I cheated and looked it up on Wikipedia : )

Thanks to Gloria Brown from Winterport, ME regarding the safety of feeding blueberries to dogs.

The video clip was really funny, especially the one looking back when he appeared as a guest on your show:) I hope he liked the tacos!

To Sonya:
I Googled ale and got nothing so thanks for finding it on Wikipedia. I couldn't read the label and thought I heard Martha say something like ale. She must have said Olde English 800. Hi Martha and Laura! Trish

THE VIDEO -- Beauty upon the 'cheek of night!'
BLUEBERRIES -- Moderation is the key. A generous vegetable intake, along with healthy protein cooked in with lesser portions of carbohydrates is in style for canines who intend to live cancer free.
Always check with your veterinarian for exclusions such as grapes and onions which don't metabolize well and create toxicity. Green leafy veggies mixed in with dog foods which list meats, not meat by-products, first in
ingredients are always a shield from cell destroying disease.
My Weimaraners eat brussel sprouts, carrots, thimble berries, strawberries, peppers, spinach, broccoli sticks pasted with peanut butter, tomatoes, okra, and all kinds of natural recipes supplied by the banquet tables of a well known hotel! These crazy German hounds have actually become the new wave health and wellness representatives for the cancer free canine!
All six of them are 9 through 11 years old, and much due to diet I'm told, are extremely healthy and robust seniors!
Best of Luck,

Hi Gloria via Martha-
I was going to thank you for posting about blueberries but Martha beat me to it!
I have just discovered my chow chow Mrs. Bosley loves blueberry muffins but don't tell Martha they have SUGAR in them. She also likes plain blueberries whole she is 13 now and she just started wanting to share my morning muffin with me.(The big muffins you get at Costco so yummy) I don't want to do anything that would harm her.( I know sugar not good but she gets a couple of bites)
Thank you for doing the research I couldn't find anything about blueberries but did find that except raisins, some nuts, grapes, onions, tomato sauce, over the counter medications, alcohol, eating cigarette whole or parts of, are most harmful and in many dog/cat cases deadly. There were two more listed and now I can't remember because I am trying to hard to remember.
Thank you for checking and you too Martha.
Pam from California
P.S it was 72 here today and SUNNY love it!
Conan will love it here too and Martha will love it here as well when she reloactes lol!

Hi Martha, You crack me up! The tacos and the "40" were just too funny!! I too thought the segment on Conan's show when you showed how to properly make a bed were the funniest. I was in Florida(Tampa to be exact) when you were in Clearwater and had your book signing there. If only I had known in advance I would have made every effort to get to it! Oh well, better luck next time for me.

You and Conan are a very funny pair together. Friendships like that are such a blessing. One can always count on those kind of friends to help you laugh during challenging times.
I think the most hysterical clip of you and Conan was when you two went horse back riding. He had that long red hair wig on...hilarious!!
Posted by: Julie | February 20th, 2009 at 3:40 am
Martha, I love your new hairstyle! It looks terrific.
My favourite clip of you and Conan was when you were with your horses, grooming and feeding them. The clip ended with Conan on the horse dressed as a Medieval prince:
"I've worked up quite an appetite," he said. "...And not for food! To the barn!"
You swooned effectively.
-Andrew
PS: Now, seriously...Did you REALLY eat a bean burrito from Taco Bell?

You and Conan are so funny when you get together. I hope you both find the opportunity to be on each other's shows in the future. Thanks for including the clip!

Martha you would probably be astounded to see that three of your versions of copper trays, from "Martha by Mail" catalog are at a prices well over $500 a piece on an ebay auction. The auction still has several hours to go and I will be watching to see what it closed at.
It seems rather remarkable with the economy in the tank.
Just for grins.
