My dogs made me something special for Valentine's Day
I was so surprised by my Valentine gift from my French bulldogs, Francesca and Sharkey. Apparently, they thought my ears aren’t in the right place and that they should be growing out of the top of my head as theirs do. Those little darling girls were so crafty and made me a very fancy headband.
Picture 1 of 17: The first thing we did was to log onto marthastewart.com. There is always so much useful information on that Web site. We did a search for a heart template and found this one called 'heart felt scarf' and printed it out. It was the perfect size.

This is just too precious Martha! Do I see Franny and Sharkey adventure stories in the future? I could never get my two dogs to go through any of those motions. Awww, and they made you the cutest gift! This blog really made my day! Trish

That is great. What great furry children you have. If my dogs were to get into my craft room they would probably eat the glue and have glitter all over themselves. What great little crafters you have on your hands. Have a wonderful Valentines Weekend!

That is hilarious! We are looking at getting another dog...how is that breed with kids?
I had a funny post a week or so ago about making a dog fur sweater and I got some confused feedback.

I'm still laughting about the cute way they were talking to each other while making your beautiful Valentine's Day gift. Their expressions are priceless! I can't wait to see you on Letterman tonight. Martha,
Wow, your girls are amazing! Can they teach my Yorkshire's how to go on the computer too? LOL
Too cute! Nice craft!
I laughed through all of the photos!
Happy Valentine's Day Martha! I wish you much love and happiness.
It must be your Body and Soul Challenge or the Martha way to do it but you look fantastic!
Caught you on Letterman last night! You looked great in your black dress and Dave was a riot flirting with you. Did he really drink the vodka or was that a water replacement? Who cares, the segment was hilarious!!
Enjoy the weekend and again, Happy Valentine's Day!
Love,

Hello Martha and Martha People!
I don't know if you are able to help - but maybe you can. As you know, last weekend fires swept through the Victorian Bush, killing hundreds and destroying thousands of homes. It's been a terrible tragedy, and the whole state is still covered in smoke and sadness.
We started an appeal last monday to assist the long-term recovery of those that survived and lost their homes. We are also raising fund to benefit The Red Cross - via craft auctions and etsy sales.
We are calling on people to help in a number of ways -
submit a recipe for the recipe book which will be printed to distribute to those that lost everything (Once they resettle),
donate handmade items which might become the new 'heirlooms' of those that now have none.
Donate craft supplies so that we can 're-stash a crafter' and get people knitting and sewing again.
Join Handmade Horticulture - and start growing plants that can be distributed to those that rebuild.
You can find out more at http://www.handmadehelpsout.blogspot.com
Thank you and thanks for ace show and blog and mag et al!
You can email me with any queries, if you would like to.
xx Pip

Martha - that was great. One of the cutest blogs your've done so far. I just love those dogs. I had my little Zoe on my lap as we viewed the pictures. She sits with me every morning when we log onto your website.
Why don't you have another BYOB show, I would love to bring Zoe back. She was only 6 months old when you had the first show.
Have a great weekend.

Martha,
Those dogs of yours are funny when they're just being dogs! I suppose they got to work with the "beautiful glue gun, too!" Ha! You AND the dogs get me every time. Your creative comedy skits are hilarious but your un-staged bloopers are EVER so funny to me!
P.S. And THANKS, I really need a smile this morning after waking up to my neighbors having removed (completely to the ground )two of MY (on my property) 50 year old Florida Pines with owls nests! I'm taking rescue remedy...where's a "back-woods Southern lawyer."? I'd like to think that the spirit of those beautiful glue gun trees know our hearts, and will act accordingly. Agreed?

What good girls you have, Martha! They did a splendid job! (I'm) Glad to see you're wearing their creation proudly! As I was nearing the end of today's photo gallery, I muttered to myself that you HAD to have a picture wearing what they made for you, (and you did!) It is v-e-r-y becoming! [giggle] Your girls adore you - no doubt about it!
Look at all the posts before mine! - it goes to show that manymany others adore you, too!
I know I do! [BIG hug!]

Dear Ms. Stewart,
I am writing because I've received numerous emails from longtime friends about the names of your French bulldogs. My maiden name (for real) was Francesca Sharkey, a creation of my mom (who was Sicilian) and my dad (who was Irish.) It was too much of an unusual coincidence for me to resist sending you a note, reading about their escapades has made me smile.
Aside from being strategically named, I have been a fan of your efforts since the 1980's, and my 10 year old daughter (who encouraged me to write) would like you to know that she's a fan too!
Warm regards,
Francesca Sharkey Moum
