Dear Martha,

I've been looking all over for translucent shades such as yours - could you please tell me where you purchased yours?? I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you,
Amanda

Hi Martha,
I am a fan from Venice Beach, California.
Thank you for continuing to share your kitchen with us on your blog; the images are beautiful! I have been 'hanging on' to my MSL Magazine issue that features your new kitchen because at the time it was released I was planning to remodel my Beach House kitchen. Well, my plans and dreams are finally coming into fruition and I am using the same "Harewood" veneer to cover my cabinet door panels and island. The product guide in the back of the magazine was very useful for that, and I ordered it fromt he same source where your veneers came from. It is a truly unique veneer that will be sure to be a show-stopper when people step into my house. My kitchen will be a modern/contemporary version of yours, but I'll be proud to say that is was "Martha Stewart" inspired. I am a bit surprised you used Marble countertops though, your kitchen gets so much use; how are they holding up for stains? Every stone fabricator I talk to says it will stain immensely, even with continuous sealing, from wine, food, even oily hands, etc. I love the look of marble rather than granite, but don't think I can live with tomato-sained marble coutnertops. At any rate, thank you, thank you for sharing and for inspiring me. Marie

Martha,

I wish I can remodel my kitchen, but my finances is not good at the moment to do it.
I am from Brazil. I am living in US the last 15 years and I have been follow your program a long time.
My husband (is from here) and sometimes he call me "Martha" because
I love doing the same things you do.
Your like your kitchen.
Thanks to share your ideas,

Tonight I was looking for a spoon -any spoon- and realized all 5 teaspoons I own are in the dishwasher, dirty. What I like most about your kitchen is something that is attainable to almost anybody, on any budget- just having lots of practical stuff like silverware (and spoons)that is well-organized. Now that I have seen your kitchen I'm going to go buy some spoons (at Goodwill, on the cheap).
Thanks for sharing your special place, it is inspiring.

Oh, Martha. If only... if I was ever fortunate enough to break the bank, this would be the kitchen for me. Not only is it functional but roomy and artfully designed. I too would love to know what's in your fridge! LOL Maybe one day you'll have a lottery and the winners would get an evening with you at your home. I can dream, can't I??? :}

Boy did you put the FUN in functional! As hokey as that sounds, it is so delightful to see such a beautiful, USEFUL kitchen.

I especially love the mercury lights, how well your open shelves are organized, and those amazing dog bowls! It's funny, not having seen these before, I've thought of casting stone encrusted vessels myself recently. Leave it to you to find the first horse out of the gate!

Many thanks for the glimpse into how someone who really knows how to cook designs and stocks their kitchen!

What a peaceful space. I am afraid my family would expect me to be a great cook if I had that kitchen. Oh wait, maybe I would be.... hmmm.

Martha, I am one of your biggest fans. I have every issue of all your magazines (except Kids) and find such great inspiration to help my clients with their renovations or helping them find the beauty in a home they are potentially buying. Thanks for all you do!

Hi Martha, Oh, how I wish I lived in Bedford at your farm! Your kitchen is the best I have ever seen! Everything you have is not only beautiful, but very worthwhile and useful. I have many of the gadgets that you have, but not the coffee, juice, or grinding equipment that is so prevalent in your wonderful kitchen. I love the way you hang your pots and pans. I would love to take a personal tour of your entire farm. That would be the greatest! Did Francesca or Sharkey take these photos of your kitchen? It says 'The Daily Way' in the lower righthand corner of most of the photos!! What do we get to tour next?! I can't wait to see! Jan

I recently saw Julia Child's kitchen in the Smithsonian & was surprised by how ordinary it was! It's fun seeing your kitchen & I had to smile at the no heels sign. (I have a no shoes rule in my house, too!) Thank you for sharing your house!
