It's a wrap! On the Hudson
Last week, we had a wrap party to celebrate the end of our fourth season of the Martha Stewart show. It was held at a really fun place called the Frying Pan. The Frying Pan is an historic lightship, built in 1929 and is docked at the Chelsea Piers on the Hudson River. With amazing views, it is a wonderful venue for a party. Fortunately for us, the rain stopped and the skies cleared for the celebration.

Hi Martha, What a fabulous, happy, congenial group to have at your wrap party! Everyone looks like they were having a wonderful time with you smiling the most! You have a fantastic crew in every phase of your work and home life, Martha! No wonder you always look so happy when surrounded by all of your friends and co-workers. I just love the Frying Pan lightship. What a great place for a party! Thanks so much for letting us come along. It was really fun! Jan

Hi Martha, Thank you for sharing your "It's
a wrap" photos. I love the color of your
sweater. It truly compliments you.
Have you ever thought of having a line of
Martha Stewart clothing?

--Tues., 05/12/09 Hi. Martha works with beautiful & handsome people, talented too. Often this past winter & early spring I've wanted to be a Whoopi Goldberg, somebody who can make others laugh. Your audience has Joey. With the help of humor & laughter I am seeing green everywhere! Spring is beautiful. Always I enjoy reading this blog.--

Looks like a great party and wonderful people. Although it does mean a summer of re-runs are right around the corner. Maybe I will use the time to actually transfer those hundreds of videos of the old show to dvd. I think I say that every summer. Congratulations on a great season!

Dear Martha,
we are going to New York in June and I am so sorry I cannot go to your show.
Martha, I have a fabulous idea for you. You need to write a Martha's guide to eating and shopping in New York. I wish I had a list of all the wonderful places you have showed over the years! Keep up the wonderful work. I watch you everyday!

Martha: Saw your show Monday. Here's a little rhyme that hopes to catch a smile.
I'm fifteen feet sometimes made of cherry,
Hard to believe,I came from a berry.
My ribs put together in a special way,
Part canoe and row boat made to play.
With epoxy and resin,a fiberglass cape,
Buoyant and watertight,without duct tape.
I move along effortlessly, one hand before tuther
Gentle with oars,'cause one's the other brother.
Perhaps you'll catch my launch in May or June
I'll skim the water by light of silvery moon.
With Franny as the captain,Sharkey as first mate
A Guide Boat made for Martha and I'm top rate.
Three hundred hours of workmanship to fit me out
I'm poetry in motion and there is no doubt.
and that's a wrap...

I am there in spirit, as I flip thru this photo gallery! Look at all the smiling faces! Everyone looks like one big happy family! What does that say, Martha? You have one fantastic team working for you! Your interns are endearing - I only KNOW that they are giddy young women/men, starting out their working careers working for MSLO! Gee whiz, I've been working (I'm not telling!) ___ years and would experience sheer delight in being a Martha-intern!
This little get-together looked like a charming time - all the hugs (I LOVED it!), smiles, and head tilts were endearing. Another season accomplished - a good one it was, too!
I'm sad, though, as I'll miss you this summer. I know your blog and twitter-tweets will have to sustain me in the meantime... (Big sigh!)

Hi Martha,
I am amazed at the vast amount of people it takes to put together a TV show! You have a super talented group though because your shows are the best TV has to offer, with you as the host of course! There's only one downside and that's the long wait for September and the new season to start. I always miss you in the summer but maybe I'll do what Claudine is trying to do; finish putting the old MSL shows on DVD. I also have hundreds of videos and this will give me an opportunity to view some of them again. Btw, today’s show was great with all the Asian cooking. You made me so hungry for noodles even with those toppings I would never have thought about tasting. The combinations looked good; okay, maybe not the Quail egg. My yolks have to be cooked. Trish

Martha:
I have watched you for many years and must say you have inspired me. I have started my own home based (online) craft business and it is slowly doing well despite the "economy" proof positive that people still appreciate the value of home made! I love all the info and tips you give and you inspire all women to get out and take a front line position in thier own lives! I hope the next season is a success and as many seasons as you choose to stay on air! ( oh God.. I hope that is a looooong time!)

Congratulations on your fourth season & good luck on your future seasons! Your shows are great, to say the least. What a beautiful place to have the celebration. I'm glad the rain finally stopped, but where's the warm weather?

Ahoy! Martha!
Just wondering what you'll name your new wooden guide boat. (I watched the segment on today's show.) Only a true romantic would entertain afternoons rowing on a lake. Your true colors are showing...;)

Dear Martha, The photo is fabulous! Did you actually change your hair??? I always thought you would look great (and even younger than you already do) if you had bangs and a different cut. You've had the same hair style for years. The photo wasn't really large enough for me to be sure but you look great!

New York! New York! I love New York! It’s a fabulous city. The essence of America - It is the most impressive city in the world. I still morn the loss of friends in the WTC and the beautiful center itself, but we will rise again! Great show Martha. Thanks.
P.S. Central Park is so awesome - An Oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle.

you'd push them away. I kept thinking too bad
she doesnt get a better stylist, and now you
have. The got milk ad is beautiful too.
love you! xox

Hi,Martha,
Iam new to the world of Martha Stewart. My 2 dear friends were always speaking of your show and projects, but I had a preconceived notion that you were just a snobby social climber, who was cashing in on her talents. I am now a Marthaphile. I overlook your political agenda which I am surprised to see is so out there to the public, but anyone who loves horses, gardens, cooking from scratch is all right in my book. You bring domesticity to an art form, and that is making a beautiful statement. Health and happiness to you!

Martha, do you ever take a bad picture? You have a great smile and look so young in all of them!!!
