Emeril, Tommy, Jessica and others all come together at Macys
One of the things I've been working on with Macy's is a project called Come Together, which we launched on September 15th. My friend, Chef Emeril Lagasse and I helped to host a special VIP dinner party held at Macy's flagship store at Herald Square in New York City. The purpose of the Come Together campaign is to help fight domestic hunger. Macy's is urging people to host dinner parties in their homes and to have their guests pledge a donation to Feeding America. In return, Macy's will match these donations dollar-for-dollar until the total goal of 10 million meals is reached. It's interesting to note that one dollar provides dinner for seven. You can find out more details and other ways of contributing at macys.com/cometogether. And if you haven't already seen this commercial on television, please enjoy
1 Here we are lined up on the red carpet at the Macy's flagship Herald Square store.
2 My good friend Emeril Lagasse and me - by the way, my jacket is a Kiton.
3 Entertainment Tonight stopped by to interview us.
4 Here I am with talk show host, Wendy Williams.
5 Tommy Hilfiger - fashion designer and me
6 The table set for the VIP dinner party
7 Tommy Hilfiger, me, Terry Lundgren - CEO of Macy's, and Robin Marino - CEO of MSLO
8 Here I am with Chef Todd English - he injured his eye while playing sports.
9 Terry Lundgren speaking about how wonderful Come Together is
10 I also was asked to speak.
11 And so did Emeril
12 Vicki Escarra - CEO of Feeding America
13 Actor - David Arquette
14 Me, Emeril, and David
15 Before dinner was served, the guests were entertained by.......
16 Straight No Chaser - a really good acapella singing group. They actually sang together in college several years ago. One member of the group posted an old video of them on YouTube and they became on overnight success.

On a serious note, though...it's wonderful that all of you HAVE come together with an endorsement for this worthy cause! My personal wish is that those 10 million meals WILL be purchased and the goal will be met.

I make my husband be quiet when the commercial is on. It's so funny. No tweeting while eating.

I'm a commercial freak - I talk during programming and demand silence during commercials! I like all the ones you have done with Macy's and this one is especially funny with serious intent of course. And now that all of you and Macy’s have gotten our attention, we must do our part. I may not host a dinner party but I will contribute through their website. Trish

What a great commercial and a WONDERFUL cause!
Martha, today I have launched my new business. Without your silent encouragement (Dreamers into Doers and your own success) I don't know if I would have had the courage to turn my dream into a reality. Today is a small step towards a bigger goal. As for what will happen in the future only time will tell but at least I can say that I took that first step. Thank you and to your staff for continuing to inspire.

Hats off to You, Martha, your staff, and Macy's and your peers. Your efforts to help feed those struggling in such hard times is so admirable. Your mind, your heart, and your burning passion keep you on the top of your game all the time. Feeding America is a great organization and I am so excited to see Vickie leading the program. She is another women on top of her game. She gets results just like you. You, Martha, never cease to amaze me with all of your wonderful talents. You and Macy's pulled off beautifly another great success. Kudos to all you wonderful and talented and generous people.

Hi Martha, I just love this new Macy's commercial and the photos of behind the scene's actions. Thanks for having the video on your blog. When I first read your tweet on twitter about Franny, my heart definitely skipped a few beats. I was just devastated. Thank God your last tweet said she was doing better. I will continue to pray for her and hope she gets back to her usual self real soon. I loved your show again today and look forward to tommorrow and the Palm Springs show. Take care and hug all of your babies for me. Love, Jan PS:My computer is OK for now.
