How cool! So many businesses (and individuals too) aren't good at really connecting with their followers on Twitter, and it's really important to stay very personal in your approach. I'm glad you are helping folks figure out how to really connect and form relationships on Twitter.

Hi Martha, I'm trying to post a comment again today because the one I wrote yesterday didn't go through. As I said before, I love this blog about the behind the scenes of the Tech Show. It's fun to see so much of what goes on and it really felt like I was there to enjoy the show in person. The only thing that was missing was the sound. Seeing the actual show brought everything together and that was super. I wish you would make those great products that were available for the audience available for those of us watching your show at home. Thanks for everything that you do. I love it all!!! Jan

My apologies - I meant when you got us to join Facebook at the end of '07. I guess Twitter was on my mind when I said that instead of Facebook. Hey, you got us to join Twitter too! Trish

Funny that I just saw the teaser for a news story later tonight about burn-out from social networking sites, etc. I've been wondering when the tide would turn on this. When people are no longer so desperately lonely? Anyway, how do people have time for Facebook and Twitter and get anything else done, i.e., have a life? My sewing, cooking, baking, housekeeping, gardening, bead stringing and nearly everything else I thought I would grow old enjoying have suffered hugely in the 10 years since I've had a decent computer and the internets. I do it all virtually now and have little to show other than piles of unprepared food, yardage, and glitter.
At least, I sure hope it means people I barely know will eventually stop inviting me to be their Facebook friend.

It's a good thing Martha. Recently at Gizmodo, they bashed you about not knowing how to use the Internet. And here you are launching a tech show on my birthday in fact.

I've made a response post to Gizmodo's on my gadget blog LaptopMemo. I am a 13-year-old gadget blogger entrepreneur, and my blog is called LaptopMemo.com

Looks like a terrific show. Please put the t-shirts and other Martha merchandise that is avalable in the Martha Shop online. We would all love to get some t-shirts and other items. Thanks!

Great show today Martha! Remember that Ad Age article that you directed me to when we first joined Twitter, the one with a reference to me? In it I had said you were 'bubbly' and by golly you still are, but even more so. You really are passionate about new technology, (as so many of us are), and you clearly expressed that today. It is good to see your page on Facebook updated regularly and you even write on your own wall. I only joined Facebook because of you and your company but I have to say, your page was getting kind of boring so I deactivated my account about a month ago. Now I’m back on and enjoying the many comments on all the topics you post. Thanks for sending out that newsletter to inform us.
~
I’ve been on Yahoo for quite some time but never made it my homepage until today because I hadn’t really looked at all the features. Now I’m busy updating my favorites and having a look at the photo options and I agree it is good to have everything in one place.
~
Enjoy your weekend in Maine! (I read about that on your Facebook wall.) Trish
