Dear Martha,
I just saw you on Nightline: You were perfect. I have always enjoyed your programs and magazines. My heart went out to you when you were "hit by the bus," and I was/in your corner (silently) cheering you on. You are inspirational, and my daughter's ideal as she aims for perfection in all she attempts. You have millions of admirers, and you deserve them.
I wish you a future filled with the best of health, personally and business-wise.

My grandparents had a 100+ acre farm. Spending weekends, holidays and summer vacations on the farm helped shape the person I am today. There is something to be said about being one with nature and Mother Earth. Thank you, Martha for sharing your days at Bedford; it brings back so many wonderful memories.

Dear Ms. Stewart:
The photos are gorgeous. When I was a child I always dreamt of growing up on a farm...Are there any apple trees there? Speaking of apples, 'tis the season for apple pie..I had a quick question on how to protect the edges of crust while the pie bakes {besides strips of foil and burning your fingers while doing so }....Is there such a thing as pie plate rims? If not maybe someone should invent them.
