Back Stage at The Emeril Lagasse Show
You may have heard that my good friend, Chef Emeril Lagasse has been busy creating a new TV show on ION Television, called The Emeril Lagasse Show. Once a week, Emeril will welcome celebrity guests and musicians to partake in a variety-themed show filled with celebration and food. He will also share fascinating field pieces shot in and around New York City. The original, primetime series is recorded before a live studio audience and will capture Emeril's passion for people, entertainment, music, food and celebration. The hour-long program will air on Sundays at 8pm beginning April 18th. I think you will agree that Emeril's culinary prowess is matched by his great personal charm and appeal. Here are some photos, taken last week, when I taped an episode with Emeril. He had me on as his very first guest. What fun and lots of luck, Emeril, with the new show!

I've been obsessed with making my own honey for about 10 years now. My 20 X 30 ft backyard makes it impossible. I might not be able to get the bees and make the honey, but I can still obsess about it.

Good Luck Emeril

Emeril Lagasse my favorite chef dude,
A master craftsman when it comes to food.
Many moons ago, my job was to rest,
Watching Emeril's other show was the best.
His guests were super and all had fun,
I thought the production was really well run.
So I'm prejudice without a doubt,
Can't get the station, but I wont pout:
Surely, somebody smart will pony up
To spread the good word, so more may sup;
He is charming and sometimes debonair,
For people and cooking he does care,
A smile that matches his playful jest,
That is shared by his very first guest.
.
.
Emeril should give lessons in smiling - he's the
best.......

My son became a chef because of Emeril, learned to bake bread, then went off to Chicago, back home to the french culinary, then to NYU for hotel management, now he's a chef. Here's a BAM to Emeril.

Hi Martha, Thanks for this great preview of the new Emeril Show on ION. I used to love watching him on the Food Network and look forward to seeing his new show, especially the 1st one with you as his guest. I would sure love to have those fantastic things you gave him from your farm and the delicious things he cooked for you!! I am so ready to watch that show on April 18th at 8PM! Missed your show on Tuesday and will watch it online. I went up to Lynnwood (north of Seattle) to help a good friend get her garden ready for planting. She is 80 and had hip surgery a few months ago and is anxious to plant all that she can. Love, Jan

Thank you, thank you, thank you... I followed Martha on Twitter and won a Singer Confidence Sewing Machine! UPS delivered it today..Now I really do have to start sewing again. I am retired, I used to quilt, make fabric art, clothes..but, when I worked I could not seem to find the time to sew. I have been wanting a new sewing machine for over a year. What a pleasant surprise winning this Singer. Again, I thank you...I shall set it up tomorrow and start sewing.
