These look absolutely beautiful. At the peak of perfection, no doubt. How are they to be used at the dinner party?

Ever seen spherical jewels. Well actually pearls that have formed in a pearl oysters' mouths. Well these look like spherical peas... . I like GOING GREEN though in this case... .

Hi Martha, Where did you get those beautiful fresh peas?! They remind me of many days in the summertime when my dad would bring home a large bunch for us to shell for dinner. He was a field man for a pea company and would check the fields almost daily and of course we ate lots of fresh peas. Thanks for the memories! I'm sure the rest of your dinner was fabulous. Love, Jan

Idea: Dinner P[eas] for Dinner Parties. Maybe not what Martha means when she talks about Green Products but hey they are green. Every green light on the way home I'll be or 'pea' thinking about them.

Why is shelling peas so soothing to the psyche? When i lived in the country with my husband and young children I loved shelling peas. The roadside farmer's stalls usually had someone sitting quietly shelling peas and always with a warm smile. Before I began to shell peas from my garden and peas from farmer's roadside stands I used to ask people why they enjoyed it. Great answers all. I live in a big city now...sold the old clapboard 1857 house on 1 acre after my husband died but I will always recall fondly those green pea shelling kind souls.
Thanks,
May

I hope everyone enjoyed the peas - one of my favorite veggies and fresh is even better. Trish
