Good Things with Hallmark Channel
You may have heard that Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia has teamed up with Hallmark Channel. Together, beginning on Monday, March 29, we will be offering a seven-hour daytime block of home and lifestyle programming every weekday on Hallmark Channel, beginning at 11 am ET/PT. We’ll also have a shorter block on weekends (6 am-9 am ET/PT), beginning April 3-4. This new lineup will feature episodes from our evergreen program library, including “From Martha’s Kitchen,” “From Martha’s Home,” “From Martha’s Garden” and more. Then, in September, we will premier exclusive original episodes of our Emmy® award-winning, popular daytime home and lifestyle series, “The Martha Stewart Show,” as well as additional new and original series and specials. So, please join me in my kitchen, in my home, and in my garden. Fans of my show will not be disappointed. Here are some photos of what you can expect to see.

Please tell me that Hallmark in the UK will be showing the programmes too? I know I watch on the web but the TV would be great as well. Susie

Are you likely to extend showing your shows to audiences in the UK? I am sure that everyone would love your show.

Hi Martha,
I'm so thrilled for you to be working Hallmark. I'll be tuning in to you wherever you go. I love your shows and products. I've been a fan of yours since I was 9 years old and saw you on Oprah. Good luch today!

Hello Martha, I really would like to see if you could come up with a set of DVDs that has all your shows on them of your show when it was made in CT. I really like your show now but I even feel that your older shows were more "to the point" on other topics. PLEASE think about making a DVD set. Even if you could group them in years like 1997-1999, 2000-2002, etc. Thank you for your time. Cassie Schmidt

Hallmark and Martha - two of my favorite TV programming. Good luck with Luke, the vandal and preparing for Easter. Have you ever planted a cherry blossom tree? Would it grow in the Northeast? The tidal basin in DC is worth a visit over the next two weeks.. simply beautiful blossoms. The rangers do a lantern walk in the evening from 8PM to 10PM which gives most of the amazing history of the trees around the Jefferson Memorial.

I am so so so excited to see that you will be featured on the Hallmark Channel! I have been a loyal viewer/reader/fan for many many years. But since subscribing to Dish Network 2 years ago, the local channel that aired your daily show is not offered. And without a pricey upgrade to my service, I could not enjoy your show every day. I could not be happier! You have made my day!!!!! Go Martha...Go Hallmark!!!
THANKS

Hi Martha,
Five more minutes and the first episode of your Classic show is to begin on Hallmark. I have dubbed the TV in my computer room the Hallmark TV. It will stay on that channel and the family room TV will be used to watch your daily show until September. I have seen just about every one of your Classic shows at least 3 times but I never get tired of them. Keep them coming! Trish

I'm saddened that I will no longer be able to see the show. The Hallmark channel is not available in Canada. I hope that a MSLO will find a way to air the show on a network available in Canada. I've already emailed the show.

I will have to find out how to watch your show in the fall over the computer as I don't subscribe to the Hallmark channel as it is to expensive for the next upgrade with the cable company. I enjoy all your photos on your blog and ofcourse all the animals. I will miss the entertainment your show offers me each day. I tape it and watch when I return from work each day. I will miss all the fun things that happen on your show each day.

Did you say Hallmark channel? Now, this is a real good thing!
Posted by: nazarina | March 29th, 2010 at 2:14 pm
I don't understand... All the shows on Hallmark are old reruns. What about new shows? I found you on NBCe in the Portland OR area. We don't get that channel, but you are on at 3:00 AM on our local Pdx station. What happened to Fox? We have to have our Martha fix!!
Posted by: Kathy | March 29th, 2010 at 2:18 pm
We at MarthaStewartTV are so extremely excited for classic episodes of Martha, thank you for airing these in conjunction with The Hallmark Channel. And we're looking even more forward to The Martha Show moving to Hallmark in the fall so everyone can watch the show since so many local affiliates have dropped the show or air it (as seen above) at unreasonable hours.

I love the old episodes, thank you for letting us relive them again.you are such a class act.

I am thrilled to see Martha's "old" programs on the Hallmark channel!! I enjoy the 'quiet' of these programs ~ no audience, no one interrupting, just learning from Martha. For the evening program, I have a glass of wine while listening and watching. So nice and so lovely. Thank you. Ruth

To coin a phrase.. Martha and Hallmark: It's a good thing!
I've spent the last several hours watching the block of shows I recorded today while at work. The previous format is by far my favorite to watch and to learn from. It's wonderful to see Turkey Hill again!
Congratulations on a tremendous partnership with Hallmark! It will be a win-win all the way around!

Hi Martha,
I really feel like you haven't given thought to your Canadian viewers, we love you here just as much as in the states. I don't see why you couldn't have something done about it, like having Hallmark available on Bell Express view. since you are not aired on any of our canadian networks, it almost seems like you're forgetting that you have fans up here too. It would be really nice to see something done.
Thanks,
Brett

Hi Martha, This has been a tough day since I found out that your current TV Show has been moved to 2 am here in the Seattle area. I talked to the KONG TV station and they didn't seem to care that we-your fans-were upset because of the change. They felt it was necessary because you were now on Hallmark. At least they didn't remove your show and I can set my alarm to watch it at 2AM. I feel bad for anyone who can no longer see your show at all. I watched your 'classic shows' on Hallmark today and will do the same everyday. It was so much fun to see your original shows and my favorite one was with Jane Heller! Thanks, Martha, for all you do. Love, Jan

The office in a closet was my all-time favourite Good Thing. It inspired me to make my very large closet in my small bachelor a functional and attractive office space, with storage for books, electronics and more! I'd love to see that show again. I think it's so great to have these shows at our fingertips again! Yay!!
Posted by: Andrew Ritchie | March 29th, 2010 at 8:30 pm
Thank You!!! I love the "old" shows so very much. It really seemed more intimate and that you were talking directly to each person. I love the field trips, the sets, the visits to your home. I would love to buy them on DVD. The show now is just to busy for me....always seems rushed.
Posted by: Cynthia | March 30th, 2010 at 3:01 am
Martha... if you would read this I would like to second the idea of a Classic Martha DVD set. I would also like you to put the bloopers on them too! I remember how on April you would air a blooper episode and my mother and I would laugh for hours! I also enjoy the quietness of Classic Martha and the professsionalism and personal feel it gave. I wish you would go back to that honestly! Please Martha!!! Give us a DVD set!!!

PROGRAM IDEAS: I love seeing you programs when you show you travels all over the world and also some video of you at local events. I think you might want to consider developing a new program using you many photographs, vidos, stories about your travles and/or events with videos and pictures of your travels, someting like From Martha's Travels or A Day in the Life of Martha. They are so educational and allow the viewers to enjoy the many travels and sight you see through your eyes that they would not be able to enjoy. Hope this give yous some ideas.

Hi: Please bring back the Martha Stewart Living show from the very beginning! Please put them on DVD starting with Episode 1. (1993 -I believe) I love the "old shows" and I have learned so much from them. They were so inspiring! Thanks so much!

Martha with all due respect after seeing some of these photos, first thing that came to mind was Christie Brinkley(former American model, sports illustrated..., etc.) has a sister. Also what a merger sort of. Analog to digital tv, Comcast and NBC and now this. Picture 41 was the one I wanted to see for without 19'41' there would be not Martha Stewart. So again sometimes it takes two.

i'm in heaven again! i loved the old martha series before they tried to make it into a talk show. shows what i love about the domestic goddess - how to do things with the pros, not some flavor of the month. would kill to see the really old half hour shows, the ones that used to be on cbs (i think) on sundays mornings, the first ones. love this!!!!

While this is probably a good move for you, I do not have cable tv, so will no longer be able to watch your show. I hope videos of your shows will continue to be archived on the web site so I can keep up that way.
Thank you and best wishes!

It is so nice to watch all your old shows on Hallmark....I really did miss the quietness of your programs. I can watch them over and over...I enjoy your new show...but the one on one of your older programs makes it seem more personal. I have learned so much from you....thank you....I wish you would do more shows like the older ones.

I am saddened by your departure from regular digital tv. I will no longer be able to see your show. Personally I am praying that perhaps you will add your show to the PBS system along with your Everyday food show that airs on Saturdays here in Oregon. I follow your show and subscribe to your magazines. You will be missed by our entire family and friends as most of us rely on digital converters and can only recieve 25 channels or so.

I am so happy you are moving to the Hallmark Channel. I live in Atlanta, GA, and your show airs at 3:00 AM here. That is ridiculous, as this is a huge market and a huge Martha market at that. I am very excited about this change. As always, you find a way to get to your fans. Thank you.

I'm not sure what this means for viewers in Canada.Already there is no Canadian channel that carries your show so I see it on the American one but we do not have access to the Hallmark channel so I don't think I will be able to see your show in September. Too Bad.......
Posted by: brenda morton | April 2nd, 2010 at 11:33 pm
I am incredibly disappointed to learn that the Martha Stewart Show is going to be moving to the Hallmark channel, exclusively to cable subscribers. I have been watching Martha's show since I was a teenager (I'm now 31,) and watch her everyday. I do not have cable. So now, even though I have been a loyal viewer for over a decade, I won't be able to watch? You could at least have the show be in syndication AND on Hallmark. You'd get evern more viewers then and keep your current viewers who don't have cable happy. Or at least let us watch whole shows online.
Posted by: Doberwoman | April 3rd, 2010 at 5:44 pm
No cable here, but would love to see your show on a PBS channel. I love the your quiet and unurried way of doing things, as well as your seemingly vast knowledge of so many things.

Outstanding! Sounds like I've got some scheduling to do on my DVR! Great job Hallmark for recognizing that when you look up the word creativity in the dictionary.... Martha Stewart Omni Media is there! That's a good thing.

I was delighted to find you on Halmark and as a result have "rediscovered" you again. In a world where "average" is the norm and just about anyone can declare themselves an expert, you stand head and shoulders above the crowd. I am amazed at your quest for quality and beauty in all you do. Keep at it Martha, you are a true inspiration!
Posted by: Maggie | April 8th, 2010 at 10:53 pm
i agree with ruth, cynthia, chris and the rest of the viewers who enjoy an relaxing, quiet, informative show. since the end of march i have taped them all. Sorry!! talk shows are not my thing. talk for the sake of talk has been very low on my must see list. but martha on hallmark has a timeless format, that can be seen over and over. thanks. i am watching tv again and love it.

It's a pleasure to see the older MS shows which were so much more intelligent and informative. Ms. Stewart's previous shows (now on the Hallmark Ch) featured the best of the best: insightful conversations and demonstrations, high quality features and talented guests who are experts in their endeavors. The current MS network shows featuring silly chit chat with inane television personalities are too excruciating to watch. Thank goodness, the MS Living Magazine has not gone the same route.

Where is the show? I set my DVR and I go I LOVE LUCY.
Posted by: Ella | April 29th, 2010 at 12:33 am
Yes...Please bring back the weekday schedule! I emailed Hallmark and they replied that it will only be on Saturday and Sunday. But the past two weeks it has only been Saturday. I loved seeing the old shows. The memories were great.

Martha, I would be so glad to see your new shows, if I could. I miss Turkey Hill, and Tom and you building, or repairing things. But, I won't be able to see your new shows, as I don't have the "equipment" to watch it. I can only get one ETV channel since last year when all the changes were made in TV Broadcasting.
But, I know it will be a good show, especially if you go back to some of the oldies.

I'm saddened I will not be able to watch the Martha Stewart Show any longer:( Martha this is not a "good thing" for Canada! We do not get the "Hallmark Channel" in Canada, I will miss your show more than any other show on TV! I guess I will get little snip-its over the internet, but it just won't be the same.
Posted by: Vicki Drimmie | September 11th, 2010 at 1:04 pm
I have taped/DVR'd Martha Stewart for years! I love the show. However due to losing my job last year, we had to downgrade our cable and it does not include the Hallmark channel. I am hoping that the show will rerun on another station that is in my cable package. Watching the show on the internet is not the same. Please tell me there will be hope for it to air on another station even if it will be a rerun.
