I Went Bowling in Brooklyn!
To celebrate the end of another great season of television, (two emmy nominations) we decided to go bowling! Recently, brothers and chefs, Eric and Bruce Bromberg, appeared on my show promoting their Blue Ribbon Cookbook and talked about their wonderful group of restaurants, including the recently opened Brooklyn Bowl, located at 61 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg Brooklyn. This 16-lane bowling alley was constructed inside the former Hecia Iron Works building and has a 600-capacity performance venue with an exciting lineup of live music. And what’s really great is that not only can you bowl and be entertained but, you get to also feast on the celebrated menu of Blue Ribbon. Have a look at this lively celebration.

8 Members of the TV crew were already bowling when I arrived.
9 Orlando Reece, Peter Killeen, Lisa Wagner, Kelly Darien, Josefa Palacios, Jose Tapia and Aaron Caramanis enjoying the great food at Blue Ribbon.
10 The Bromberg Brothers and Blue Ribbon prepared a menu of comfort foods, including the fried chicken they made on my show and their pulled pork sandwiches. Dessert was a creme brulee bread pudding with hot fudge sauce.
11 Naturally, I bowled a strike my first time out.
12 For my second turn, I decided to try a different ball. Aren't they all so colorful?
13 Concentration!
14 As you can see, everyone was having a fun time.
15 This is a great place to bowl - over the lanes are eight huge high-definition projection screens.
16 Everyone from the show bowled and had a great time!
17 My Production Manager, Calia Van Dyk, engaged in conversation as other members of the crew enjoy the music.

19 This group of bowlers arrived later in the evening and asked to have a picture taken with me.
20 The music was great and everyone was dancing it up!
21 Robin Marino, Thomas Joseph, Nora Singley, and Kevin Sharkey enjoying a fun moment together.
22 This was one of many bowling wagers.
23 Charles Koppelman - our Chairman - had a lot of fun bowling.

25 Kyle Ramdeen has one great smile.

Good morning Martha,
This looks like so much fun. And how cool to get a strike the first time. Had you never bowled before? You always seem to have so much fun at everything you do Martha. It must be a great feeling.

Brooklyn may be far from Dakota, but many things are still the same as we love to bowl here. My sister organized a team and they drive about 25 miles once a week during winter months to play in a league. Also Ed Ennis (Sean's family?) is a friend of mine and thanks for allowing us to come along for celebration of much deserved nomination for Emmies.

What a great idea! I think I'll have my next office function at the local bowling alley. And are you sure your first try was a strike?

Hi Martha,
Bowling? Who would have guessed? Looks like everyone had fun though. What tickles me the most is the group at the end wanting to have a picture taken with you. I bet they still can't believe they ran into Martha Stewart in a bowling alley - surreal for sure!

Since the news has been all over the web anyway, I want to say have a safe trip and nice time in Malaysia. I’m sure you’ll share some events with us periodically. Trish

Martha,
You can just do it all that's what I love about you. You inspire me everyday to try different things. It's a very good thing.

Martha, I can't believe you bowled a strike on your first attempt - that's impressive. You are one cool chick and definitely the coolest 68 year old I know. I'm always teasing my mom who is 63 that she and her girlfriends are the youngest teenagers I know, but after seeing this blog I'll have to add you to their list. Go teenager go!!!

Bowling parties are so much fun. Your staff looks like they had a great time. Only you could pull off that hot look while bowling Martha.
Thanks for the tip on Brooklyn Bowl. I've now added them to my company's live music venue directory.

Martha, what I like best about this is that it shows you hanging out with the staff and having a low-key, general good time! Hurrah for you!

Hi Martha, What a fun time that must have been at the Brooklyn Bowling Bar! Everyone looked like they were having an absolute blast! I love the fact that you guys celebrate the fantastic year of Martha's TV Shows by having all different kinds of parties! Also, it's fun to see another place in New York City that would be delightful to visit. My list is getting longer as time goes by. All of you deserve Emmy Awards because your TV Shows are the best ones ever!! Love, Jan

You know I was watching Iron Chef and they were doing Cheddar Cheese as the item of the show and I thought to myself what is the most awesome thing I have ever had with cheddar? ell, I was in Jamacia about 25 years ago and at this getaway hotel in Negril, They made me crepes filled with guava jelly then topped with cheddar cheese. I can honestly say, that.. was the most outragous dish with cheddar I have ever had and its tottaly Awesome. I thought you might have never had it as many people have not. But you just make the crepes, fill them whenever (as long as they are still soft) with the jelly, asn ample amount and then prinkle cheddar on top, a good amount. OMG!!!! SWooo Good!! Thanks, Lisa
