My Dogs Make Their Debut on The View
Last week on July 22nd, I appeared on The View with my dogs, Francesca, Sharkey, and Ghenghis Khan. We had so much fun demonstrating with each of the hosts. Joy Behar assisted me in painting a fun, indoor home for animals using Martha Stewart Living Paint from the Home Depot. I then showed Elizabeth Hasselback how to create adorable catnip toys. Next, Whoopi Goldberg got involved decorating dog collars using products from my Martha Stewart Pets line from PetSmart.  And finally, guest host, Ali Wentworth learned how easy it is to make healthy homemade dog biscuits. As usual, the dogs were very well behaved and we had a great time.
1 Carlos escorted the dogs into the backstage of The View. Our stylist, Jocelyn, greeted the party and prepped the dogs for their debut.
2 Water bowls from the Martha Stewart Pets line, available at PetSmart, were waiting outside the dressing room at The View.
4 GK was interested in the definition of the Greenroom. Apparently, in the 17th century, London's Drury Lane Theatre had a guest room that was painted green and the name stuck.
12 The greenroom filled up with visitors, including host Elisabeth Hasselback and guest host Ali Wentworth.
16 Shirley Sherrod, former Georgia Director of Rural Development for the Department of Agriculture, made a guest appearance on The View.
18 One of the projects I demonstrated on The View was how to make charming catnip toys for your cats. My cats love them!
19 I also showed how easy it is to make your own healthy apple-cheddar dog biscuits using the new bone-shaped cookie cutters from the PetSmart line. The recipe can be found at http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/izzys-apple-cheddar-dog-biscuits
20 Using paint from the Martha Stewart Living Paint line from the Home Depot, we painted a fun, indoor home for animals. Two colors chosen for this segment were Sharkey Grey and Francesca Black.

It is amazing how your pets have riccocet into such star's! Even the other animals like your horses and now black sheep. http://www.meandmartha.net
Thanks for the great tour behind the scenes!

I love the picture of your pets looking through the green room window! They look very happy but then they lucked out big time when you became their owner! Thanks for the link to the dog biscuit recipe, I'll make some this weekend and let you know, via Twitter how they turn out.

Hi Martha,
That was pretty cool seeing you with all three dogs on the View last week, and yes they are very well behaved. They got right up and got in their beds – so cute! G.K. is getting so big and looks so much like Paw Paw. Here’s the link to that show for those who didn’t see it. (Martha comes on about halfway.) http://abc.go.com/watch/the-view/SH559080/VD5577469/the-view-722

I also stopped by our new PetSmart store and took a few pictures, http://twitpic.com/288xyx because I was so impressed with your Martha Stewart Pets section. I took a picture of a dog who was eyeing your food dishes and I think a small one that was leaving the store with lots of packages cleaned out the small bathrobes. That rack was pretty much empty! I can’t believe the things they have in that store; a dog hotel, grooming, and a vet. It is definitely a one-stop store! Trish

Martha, Saw your appearance on the View and it looked like you all had a great time. You’re lucky to have such well behaved pets. The ladies of the View seemed to enjoy your visit. You should visit more often. Looks like they represent your target audience!

Sorry I missed you, your dogs look great !!!
On another note I recently bought your 8.5 stainless steel casserole pan from Macy's, I used it once and the whole inside has brown spots on it ???? I am so disappointed, it was just the size I wanted !!! I cleaned it just as the directions instructed me to, they will not come out ????

Hi Martha, Oh! Ah! What a wonderful blog! I always love seeing you with your dogs. Your eyes sparkle and you just glow!!!. Your dogs are so very adorable and so well behaved!!! They sure looked like they were having a great time. Every photo was absolutely superb. Haven't got your Home Depot paints yet, but got lots of your pet products at PetSmart and Dudley Do Right is enjoying them all. Will make some of those delightful dog biscuits soon so he can enjoy them, also. Thanks again for all you do for us. Love, Jan

I bet it would have been informative discussing farming with Sherry Sherrod. Hope the red paint stayed on the table and did not make it onto anyone's white blouse.

I loved seeing all your pups on the view - I adore frenchies and the yarn shop I worked in had a chow chow named Gracie that I adored. Not to mention MARTHA and Christina Hendricks on the same show. I rarely watch tv but I tuned in for this one!
Personally, I think my dog Dunkin would make a great model for your new pet line - he's a rare dachshund with blue eyes and the sweetest personality. I've linked to his photo below, on our pet insurance facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/EmbracePetInsurance#!/photo.php?pid=40225940&o=all&op=1&view=all&subj=324746906526&aid=-1&id=38421910&oid=324746906526
I'd love to know what you think. (And I love that you used dachshunds for some of your ads, they're so cute and iconic!)

Boo Hoo!!!!
I just caught the tail end of the segment of you and the dogs on the View. However, what I did see was very special. Everyone did great. The paint on the dog house looked so vibrant. Job well done.

I only watched your segment since Im not into the View program. Enjoyed seeing you and your dogs. I so miss Paw Paw.
Martha and fans please support Puppy Rescue Mission on Facebook...its for our troops and their poor heroic dogs that deserve a good life.

I had no idea dogs are a disgrace in Afghanistan. If those Talibans dont respect us women and children....those poor dogs really suffer too.
