My Dogs Make Their Debut on The View
Last week on July 22nd, I appeared on The View with my dogs, Francesca, Sharkey, and Ghenghis Khan. We had so much fun demonstrating with each of the hosts. Joy Behar assisted me in painting a fun, indoor home for animals using Martha Stewart Living Paint from the Home Depot. I then showed Elizabeth Hasselback how to create adorable catnip toys. Next, Whoopi Goldberg got involved decorating dog collars using products from my Martha Stewart Pets line from PetSmart. And finally, guest host, Ali Wentworth learned how easy it is to make healthy homemade dog biscuits. As usual, the dogs were very well behaved and we had a great time.
Carlos escorted the dogs into the backstage of The View. Our stylist, Jocelyn, greeted the party and prepped the dogs for their debut.
Water bowls from the Martha Stewart Pets line, available at PetSmart, were waiting outside the dressing room at The View.
My name on the door
GK was interested in the definition of the Greenroom. Apparently, in the 17th century, London's Drury Lane Theatre had a guest room that was painted green and the name stuck.
Joy Behar was happy to see the dogs.
Silly Joy decided to ride G.K.
Sharkey was mesmerized by this photo of some of the ladies of The View.
And by this one, too.
G.K. waited patiently to make his appearance.
He was soon joined by Sharkey.
And then by Francesca
The greenroom filled up with visitors, including host Elisabeth Hasselback and guest host Ali Wentworth.
Susan Magrino and Kelly Galvin look on as Whoopi Goldberg says hello to the dogs.
We were all having a very good time.
Here I am with Mad Men star Christina Hendricks.
Shirley Sherrod, former Georgia Director of Rural Development for the Department of Agriculture,
made a guest appearance on The View.
Here we are about to take the stage.
One of the projects I demonstrated on The View was how to make charming catnip toys for your cats. My cats love them!
I also showed how easy it is to make your own healthy apple-cheddar dog biscuits using the new bone-shaped cookie cutters from the PetSmart line. The recipe can be found at http://www.marthastewart.com/recipe/izzys-apple-cheddar-dog-biscuits
Using paint from the Martha Stewart Living Paint line from the Home Depot, we painted a fun, indoor home for animals. Two colors chosen for this segment were Sharkey Grey and Francesca Black.
Joy Behar helped me paint the animal indoor fun house. Gracie and Tallulah are Joy's dogs names. I didn't get to finish my side of the roof, but............
Joy finished her side and then some!
