Up on the Roof
This past July 4th, Macy’s once again lit up the sky over the Hudson River with a spectacular fireworks display. With more than 40,000 shells exploding at a rate of more than 1,500 per minute, this pyrotechnic extravaganza was simply breathtaking. As we did last year, MSLO invited our employees and their families to the rooftop of our office building at the Starrett Lehigh building overlooking the mighty Hudson River.
Angus Chen, Executive Support Analyst and a ten-year veteran of MSLO, brought his wife Natalie to the celebration. They are both avid photographers and each was equipped with their own Canon 40D. I thank them for sharing their images. Please enjoy these photos that capture the spirit of a most patriotic event.

Nothing more american than some GREAT fireworks on the Fourth of July! What an amazing view!

That's a lot of fireworks! No wonder it looks so amazing and New York is lucky to have Macys to provide these displays and various parades during the year. I hope you and all my American friends had a peaceful and enjoyable July 4th.

I am amazed at how some of those fireworks look like flowers from your garden. Spectacular. Great photos.

Hi Martha, Thank you Angus and Natalie for a fantastic set of photos of the Macy's 4th of July spectacular! I think this is the same show that I saw on TV on the 4th of July! Sure loved the photos of the employees and their cute kids! It sure would have been fun to be there on the roof to watch that delightful display! Jan

These pictures are amazing. It's just awesome on what they can do with fireworks these days. Some of these look like flowers, others look like palm trees. Whomever took these took some really great shots. Thanks Martha.

My son, Tom Borgese - a Martha Stewart employee - invited me to this festive occasion. Thank you so much, Martha, for this unforgettable privilege of being there. The photographs capture the experience beautifully. Everyone there looked so happy, and the sunset really enhanced the setting.
