A Twitter Invitation for the Holidays!
The other day on Twitter, I invited my followers to send photos of their Martha Stewart inspired holiday décor and other creations. I thought it would be fun to do something entirely different and create a blog post using some of those photos. Within minutes, the images started streaming in and I must say that it really thrills me to see how my products, how-to's, and recipes have inspired so many. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
1 Jennifer Vichko from Yardley, PA decorated her tree using my blue and white ornaments, which also inspired her to paint her living room Muscari, a color from my line of paints.
2 Susan Pierson Brown from Seattle, WA baked two of my cookie recipes - gingerbread and peppermint meringues.
3 Peppermint Candy Cookies inspired by my December 2009 magazine. Bridget Edwards from Woodlands, TX did a beautiful job decorating them.
4 Eva Baker, from Victorville, CA decorated her home with a candycane Christmas theme. She was inspired by the decor I used for Radio City Music Hall.
5 John Roberts from Warren, MI baked rum balls, angelettis, lemon wreath cookies and Mexican hot chocolate cookies, all of which are recipes from my website.
6 Landice Anderson from Arp, TX baked double chocolate cookies, a recipe in my Holiday Cookies magazine.
7 These are lemon-vanilla bean snowflake sugar cookies decorated with royal icing. Carrie Metz from Waldorf, MD baked 76 of these and gave them as teacher gifts.
9 Christine Brown from Fittstown, OK was inspired to decorate her fireplace mantle using pointsettia garland, candles, and white lights.
12 In addition to decorating her tree, Kristin baked sugar cookies using a recipe from my Best of Martha Stewart Living Holidays, published in 1993. She packaged the cookies in my holiday celophane bags.
13 Adam Ponce from Chicago, IL threw a 'Martha Stewart Presents: The Burt-Ponce Holiday Party.' Pictured is his tree which stands over a small wooden deer.
14 Bob Barnes from Fort Worth, TX made this wreath which is inspired by the craft segment on my show.
16 Stella Singleton from Chandler, AZ baked the Rustic Apple Tart from my Everyday Food cookbook. She is baking it again for her Christmas breakfast.
17 Jessica Gwen Turner from Chicago, IL was inspired by a project featured on my website to make this wreath.
18 Jayme Stinehart from Spokane, WA a unique rendition of the chocolate ganache cake from my April 2010 Living magazine.
19 Nick Aleck and Jenna Hickok from Chicago, IL baked apple pies using recipes from my website for their Christmas party.
22 Brian decorated his holiday table using my serving platters from the Park Leaves collection at Macy's.
23 Matthew Gallaway from Fort Wayne, Indiana decorated his home using decorations from my Everyday collection.
24 Liana Doyle from New York, NY was inspired by my December 2010 Living magazine to bake thumbprint cookies.
25 Brian from New York, NY used cake plates and a tablecloth from my Everyday collection on his holiday dessert table. He baked an apple pie from my website and a cake from my Living Cookbook Origninal Classics.
27 Lauren DeBellis from Long Island, NY was inspired by my December 2006 issue of Living to make this snowman ornament.
28 Darrell R. Wiggins, Jr. from Bryan, TX baked sugar cookies with royal icing, both recipes are from my Living cookbook.
29 Here are gruyere popovers, made by Michael Reilly from Denver, CO. This recipe is featured in my December Living magazine.
31 These gingerbread snowflakes were baked by Joseph Broda from Hoboken, NJ. He was inspired by the gingerbread recipe on my website.
34 Michael Hogan from Colombus, Ohio decorated his tree using a winter theme with blue and white lights along with blue and silver bulbs.
41 Laura Bear used the silver bulbs from my Living collection to decorate her home for the holidays.
42 Marie Buck from Los Angeles, CA used paper bags, extra ornaments and a hot glue gun to assemble this wreath.

I can't believe all the beautiful and delicious looking things for Christmas. I love the trees in blue. But all the pictures are top notch!!
I have a set of glasses that look like the one in John Robert's photo # 5. I wonder if he got his from Arby's? I did, quite a few years ago, and they are really beautiful, gold-rimmed glasses.
Thank you for saying "Merry Christmas", as that is what it is all about. Without Christ, there would be no holiday. But, so many people are afraid to say it anymore. Thanks, again.
And, now, since all the delicious food has made me hungry, I think I'll use the last few minutes of my birthday, and have an apple with peanut butter, which I just "discovered" recently, after hearing about it half my life.
Thanks, Martha!

I would like to be part of the give away for the sleigh. It would be a great help due to the fact that I did not have time to do Christmas this year. The reason my husband had open heart surgery in Nov. and was in hospital for about a month and things just got crazy, with doctors appointment and such. Please put my name in. Thanks

It must have been so special for you when you received those pictures, to know how much
you have inspired people from all over with your ideas and recipes.
Everyone did a great job. By the way, your Christmas card was very "furry" this year. Loved it. Thank you.

Hi Martha,
These pictures are beautiful - I really like the Candy Cane theme by Eva Baker in picture #4 but everyone's decorations are great. I wish I could ice cookies and make beautiful cupcakes but I'm not much in the baking department. I don't put up a big tree anymore and all of my Martha Stewart ornaments would topple over my little trees so I put them on tables. My favorite is the gold bird cage with a little bird on a swing which I believe is from your Everyday line. I’ve had it for several years along with the kitchen utensils.
~
Merry Christmas Martha, Laura and Eliad and to all who visit this fabulous blog! Enjoy St. Bart’s and I hope you might tweet a picture or two. Trish
~
P.S. To Gloria – I hope you had a fun birthday yesterday so close to Christmas too! My niece’s birthday is today.

MARTHA!!!
You made my Christmas! Thank you so much for including my peppermint cookies in your post!
YOU were my first royal icing teacher! I remember watching you flood candy corn cookies YEARS AGO on your show. It was an "ah-ha" moment for me.
Thank you for continuing to be an inspiration to all of us! Merry Christmas!

The glasses belonged to my mother, who I believe got them from my grandmother (her mother). Not really sure where they originated from! Merry Christmas!!!!

This is my first visit to your blog. I enjoyed reading it. I really enjoy baking and crafting. I have used several of your ideas for the holiday's. This year I had my daughter and a friend come over to make centerpieces for Thanksgiving and again for Christmas. They really had a good time and all the centerpieces turned out beautiful. I'd send pictures for you to see them but I don't have a camera, ours just quit on us.

Dear Martha,
I can't believe I missed your holiday tweet. I would have loved to have shared some of my 34 trees that are inspired by your Everyday line, Macy's line, and Grandin Road line. I am a BIG fan of yours and love your style of decorating.. In fact, a group of photographers just came over last week to take pictures of my many holiday decorations. They plan on using some of them in their magazine entitled "A Primitive Place" next year. I was honored that they wanted to take pictures of my house.

I loved all of these ideas and thank you for putting my mantle decorations(#9) on your slide show!

Hi Martha,
Wonderful pics. Thanks for sharing them. Like the post before me, Cindy, I missed that tweet. This year I bought my first white Christmas tree.
I got it at Macy's 36" Martha Stewart tree. I also bought the smaller sized ornament balls and just used those to decorate the tree. It looks absolutely beautiful and I have you to thank for making such inspiring holiday decorations. Have a very happy, healthy New Year!

Martha,
I was just on your show in the beginning of December (the cold show). I asked a question about starting a cookie business and you gave me your book "The Martha Rules"(I read the whole thing). I have my cookies in 3 stores in a very small town, I specialize in Italian cookies (recipes from my grandmother). I only started the business,CHARISMA'S COOKIES"It's the secret ingredient", about 2 months ago. You have inspired me to start a business from home and I was offered to use a kitchen from one of the bakery/deli's in the area but I have 4 boys (one who is not even in preschool yet)! You told me on your show, you lost your marriage and family life when you started your business in your home. I see how time consuming it could be on my own. I want my family to be the priority, and I am holding back going to the deli and using their kitchen but to be REALLY in business there isn't any other way, is there?
Thanks for the book and your PASSION in all you do!

Thanks so much for adding the Rustic Apple Tart that I made for Christmas morning. It was a huge hit! Here's a blog post that I made about it: http://stellasingleton.com/rustic-apple-tart/
All of my Christmas dinner dishes were also from Everyday Food- I have every issue + the cookbooks and refer to them often! Thanks!

OMG for some reason I missed this post. THANK YOU for featuring my feather tree (photo #46). I actually purchased the tree but the ornaments, ribbon, tree skirt & lights are from your Macy's and Everyday lines! I have learned so much from you over the years and am inspired by you every day! I am one of the "Snow Angels" that visited your show in 2008. We asked you to be an honorary "Snow Angel" and you graciously accepted. Thank You again, this is so exciting for me!! Happy New Year to you and everyone at the Martha Stewart company. You are all the BEST!
