Our 1000 Shows Celebration
I can hardly believe that this day has arrived! Tomorrow will be my 1000th television show! So, don’t forget to tune in tomorrow to Hallmark Channel, 10 am ET, for our 1000 Shows Celebration! Join me and special guest chef Mario Batali for a surprise-filled hour including a look back at our most memorable moments! And I will announce on-air the lucky winner of ALL the studio audience giveaways from the month. TUNE IN TO SEE IF IT’S YOU! Thanks to all of you who joined the fun leading up to our celebration by uploading pictures of your most memorable moments. Take a look at some of the great pictures we received, as well as some of my most unforgettable moments of the show.
1 Like so many of you, I loved when my mother, Big Martha, came on the show. Here we are celebrating one of her many birthdays. Family Recipes from Big Martha http://www.marthastewart.com/photogallery/family-recipes-from-marthas-mom
7 During a special exercise-themed show, S Factor founder, Sheila Kelley and I demonstrated a few moves from a sensual and intense pole-dancing workout.
9 Bette Midler seemed a bit intimidated as I demonstrated how to turn pumpkins into amazing and frightening Halloween decorations.
10 Octogenarian Betty White declared that you shouldn't get to her age and not know how to make pie crust!
11 Joey Kola and I joined beach volleyball Olympians Mike Lambert and Stein Metzger for a bit of fun.
13 On Poncho Day, everyone, from guest David Spade, to audience members, to the crew, to Martha's pets, donned a poncho just like the one that I made famous.
16 I kicked off the Hot Dog show with a 15-foot-long hot dog! It was modeled after the world's longest, a 197-foot 10-inch-long creation made in Tokyo, Japan.
17 With the help of my niece, Sophie Herbert, http://www.sophieherbert.com/ I demonstrated the salamba shirshasana pose, commonly referred to as a headstand. Watch the Yoga Show: http://www.marthastewart.com/show/the-martha-stewart-show/the-yoga-show
18 A scene from the fourth annual celebration of Halloween on my television show - Blake Lively dressed as a beautiful Cleopatra and I as a frightful Medusa.
19 I taught Stephen Colbert, clad in his festive Christmas sweater, how to craft a mistletoe kissing ball. Clearly, he wasn't afraid to use it!
20 Former President Bill Clinton joined me for a very special Presidents' Day Show. We chatted about the wonderful Clinton Global Initiative and President Obama's first weeks in office.
21 My frequent guest stars, Francesca and Sharkey - Be sure to read about their adventures on The Daily Wag. http://thedailywag.com/

I was hoping you would have a photo from season one when you did skipping, there is a woman in the kitchen and she is clapping and you look so happy.

Big Martha!!! Congratulations on your 1000th show! Many many more...I watched the EggExcellent show. My favorite parts were the lessons on egg dying. But I did think that the demonstration of baskets with the pussy willow handles was a close second and the decorating ideas...the egg for the windows and the painting of decorative egg boxes a close third. I loved being reminded of the beauty of the NY Botanical Gardens - my last trip there was December and everything is all trains and Christmas then with the harsh temps-- and the kids were really happy in that setting or was it those great gift baskets??!!

Hi Martha,
I think you know I'll be watching the 1000th show tomorrow - I haven't missed many except when cable was out due to a storm or when Fox would show an auto race on Monday because it rained Sunday. Sheesh! I'm glad you're on the Hallmark Channel. Gosh, it seems like you/we just celebrated the 500th show. I took a look at that yesterday on your site – Conan is such a cut-up! I like him. Anyway, time really flies when we're having fun and your shows are fun. I mentioned on Twitter yesterday that I wished people wouldn’t call me when I’m watching your show and a friend replied, “You’re really serious about the Martha Show aren’t you?” Yes I am – I know good programming when I see it. Keep up the good work Martha and team! Trish

Wow...why IS Florida excluded from the 1000th Show great giveaway? I have been a fan of Marthas for over 20 years...since she first came out with book, magazines; and her tv shows. Disappointed.
Therefore, although, the odds of winning are low, I am disappointed. Very!

Martha, do you have a pattern for the ponchos that both you and David Spade are wearing for your poncho episode? They are adorable and I would LOVE to make one just like it! Please post it on your website if you do! (also the type of yarn used!) Congratulations on having the best show on television...1000 times over!

Love the variety on the show!!
The ostrich egg dioramas reminded me of a craft I did years ago. I blew up an oval balloon and wrapped it in stiffened crochet thread. When dry, I popped the baloon, cut out an oval, and decorated the inside.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! KEEP THE SHOWS COMING!!! Julie Kemp
(I was trying to enter the contest, But can't figure how how!)

Dear Martha,
Congratulations on the success of your show. My daughter, Renee and I were fortune to be on your show (in the audience) when your dear mum 'Big Martha' was also on the show. Unfortunately, this was the last time your mum was to be on the show. We live in Australia (Townsville, Queensland)so we don't always see the most current shows - even though we have 'Austar' - the Hallmark channel is not available so I go on the internet everday to see what is happening on the show. So all the very best for your '1000' show. Regards, Colleen

Congrats on 1000 episodes! I love to watch the show when my 3 year old allows! I especially love the gardening/flower segments. Thanks for featuring the photo of my printables on the crochet flower cupcake toppers!

Congratulations on your 1000th show! Thank you for all of the ideas through the years and thru your shows - enjoy watching you - wish I could have caught all of them!!!!!

My favorite show was Big Martha making perogis as it reminded me of my grandma, Mary Lanick, showing me how to make them when I was a teenager. She is gone now but I will never forget the time we spent together.

Martha, YOU ROCK GIRL...Congratulations on this your ONE THOUSAND show. With THOUSANDS of others, we love you, we love your show, we love everything about it and I think I have taped and taped and taped a THOUSAND, but I really haven't. Wish I had though, but the ones I do have (back to the 1/2 hour segments) I treasure a THOUSAND times over.
Congrats also to all your wonderful staff and ALL the dedicated folks that help bring these fantastic programs to us.
ROCK ON MARTHA for a THOUSAND more, and beyond.

Congratulations Martha from an Australian Fan. We no longer get your show on cable.. I don't know what they are thinking...... Maybe you coul talk to them..... But I buy your magazine every month and pay about $18aus and worth every cent. I pay that much because it is air mailed so I get the current issue. I especially love "good things" and it was great to see the prints by driftwood interiors in your last issue.

I recently subscribed to AT&T Uverse only to learn that they no longer carry the Hallmark Channel and they advertise that the channel is available!
False advertising!
