Nicole's Martha Stewart Living Home Depot Kitchen Makeover 1 Year Later
Last August, I posted a blog about how Nicole Sutliff, one of my publicists at The Susan Magrino Agency, and her husband, Trey, had one of my kitchens from The Home Depot installed in their home. I was curious to know how that kitchen was holding up almost a year later. Nicole was very happy to report that she and Trey and their two girls could not be happier with this beautiful, efficient, and functional room. After settling into this new space, it was apparent that the design is great. Trey, who does most of the food preparation, loves that everything is within easy reach when he’s cooking, while his daughters sit happily at the island. The painted surfaces on the sturdy Masterbrand cabinets remain unchipped and the beautiful Corian countertops look as good as the day they were installed. Nicole says that this kitchen has changed the entire house in so many wonderful ways. Plus, their home has become a popular destination for curious neighbors who want to see a functioning Martha Stewart Kitchen from The Home Depot! Click here to watch the television segment from my show.
2 For their home, Nicole and Trey chose the Turkey Hill collection. The cabinets are painted 'Fortune Cookie' and the countertops are 'Shoreline' by Corian.
5 This clever cabinet has a wipe-board for notes and a handy key holder. Nicole says that she uses this cabinet every day and that the wipe-board is always referred to.

That is a great kitchen!!!

Home Depot, Martha Stewart, and G E appliances kitchen seems a good place to cook, eat, and live in. My good fortune to still enjoy same kitchen with minor replacements that has been in my home for years. Just wish that I could organize it better as seems that counter has much clutter on top. Aha-50 years of collecting.

Hi Martha, I sure would love to have one of your beautiful kitchens available at Home Depot! This one that Nicole and Trey have is stunning! My 1955 kitchen sure is in need of replacement and I have been saving up to get one of your new kitchens. Mine is much smaller but would look so great with your fabulous cabinets and Corian counters. Went to Home Depot yesterday and am getting one of your beautiful, comfortable chaises to put on my front patio with your beautiful outdoor rugs! Can't wait to sit out there when our weather gets a bit warmer-it's been rainy and cool most of the week. Was fun to read your tweets about you going to Home Depot in Pittsburgh yesterday! Hope you have a great day and a fabulous weekend! Jan

I just finished putting in my Martha Stewart Kitech. Ox Hill cabinets in Ocean Floor, Sea Salt Corian Cabinets, Sharkey Greay walls. Tried my best to make it look like your kitchen in Bedford. I must say, I am very, very pleased with the results. Especailly since my brother and I did all the work ourselves.

Hi Martha,
Our house is getting older now and many repair needs are cropping up but unfortunately for me, my cabinets in the kitchen are holding up. I would really love to have one like Nicole’s and Trey’s and especially the countertops which offer great colors, but we need a new air conditioner first. While doing some research online I came across this nice blog from blogger Rene and I think I’ve seen her comments on your blog but I'm not sure. Anyway, she took some nice pictures of your cabinets at home depot and it looks like she bought a few of your things. Dear Martha,
Genius, pure Genius! I just discovered your Martha Stewart Living cabinetry at the Home Depot. These are what all cabinets should be. They have sturdy construction, the styles and colors are good, the accessory pieces numerous and useful.
But I would not have been able to thoroughly understand your line of cabinetry without the excellent product book. The photos clearly show your cabinets, unlike the very dark photos in most cabinetry books. The photos illustrate various uses of the cabinetry to solve many problems. As my daughter said, the configurations show how the cabinets can be used for office, crafting or gardening spaces, yet not look like they are kitchen cabinets out of place.
Your cabinets present hope for solving my kitchen storage dilemma. Our Fort Worth home is only 8 years old but the kitchen is small and storage minimal. The layout is terrible but I cannot change it due to the house being built on a slab and budget constraints (negative equity).
My only option for creating storage is adding cabinetry in the large empty eating area outside the kitchen. My plan shows an eight foot buffet against a wall and an L-shaped peninsula (doing double duty as a banquette) where the kitchen table is.
Our kitchen cabinets were custom made and are impossible to match. They are highly grained oak in a medium brown and are not terribly attractive to boot. I fear installing different cabinetry in the eat-in area (though six feet away from the existing cabinetry) will make my kitchen look like a cabinet showroom with colors and styles that don‘t match.
With the ideas presented in your Martha Stewart Living cabinetry product book I hope to add storage in a way that will be aesthetically pleasing. It may take me a long while to figure this out but if I succeed I will take photos to share. Thank you for creating such a good line of cabinets.

It was such a pleasure to meet you in our North Fayette (Pittsburgh) Home Depot store #4117. My family was very impressed that I got to meet you. I just yesterday had another customer whom showed great interest in The Martha Stewart line of cabinets. I must admit it is great fun knowing I sold the very first Martha Stewart kitchen out of our store. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to come see us.

This is lovely isn’t it? I love your storage cabinets! They are so traditional, yet modern. I always like kitchens with a whole lot of storage space for storing the many condiments I use in my cooking. However, I hate oil stains and pests, so I like my surfaces to be easily cleaned, and the cabinets well constructed so there are no nooks and crannies where pests can breed in them. I am proud of my kitchen not just because of the food I cook but how clean I maintain it at all times, so I am very glad to see someone here who is just as proud.
