Today at 60! A Really Fun Event!
Last Thursday evening, I attended a really fun Gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York City’s theater district. The event was in honor of The Today Show, celebrating sixty years. First to arrive was the on-air talent, who was met by a throng of reporters and cameras. It was really great to see such an amazing group of TV personalities and producers amassed in one place – Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Ann Curry, Barbara Walters, All Roker, Meredith Viera, Andrea Mitchell, and the dashing Tom Brokaw. Tom Brokaw, by the way, sent his very first tweet from the gala, likening the party to a great college reunion, but wondered where the keg was. Enjoy a bit of this amazing gathering!

4 All the celebrities were asked to pose before the event backdrop. I wore a Hermes shirt and coat and Vince brown leather leggings.

6 Here I am with TV journalist Tom Brokaw, who became host of NBC's Today Show in 1976 and remained in the job until 1982.
7 The buffet offered delicious sushi and these miniature paper cones of crunchy Belgian fries.
8 With Today show co-anchor Matt Lauer, Chef Bobby Flay, Bryant Gumbel, and Chef Ming Tsai - Bryant was co-host of the Today show for 15 years until 1997!
9 The Edison Ballroom is an art deco-style space in New York City's theater district.

31 There was a wonderful tribute video for this 60th anniversary. It was a humorous and moving look back at the past six decades on Today.

I saw the 60th Anniversary tribute on the Today Show last friday. Was a lot of fun to watch as I have exclusively watched them for as long as I can remember! The party looked like a lot of fun Martha. You looked devine in your Hermes shirt and coat and your leather leggings. I'm loving your clutch! It's the evening bag to carry now!

Hi Martha, This certainly was a fantastic blog post today about this wonderful, fun party for the 60th anniversary of the super Today Show! It was so fun to see the TV version of the 6oth anniversary and now viewing your stunning photos and comments about the party is really outstanding! You look so gorgeous and happy in these photos and all of your friends here look fabulous, too! How fun it was to see so many of the former hosts and Bobby Flay and Ming Tsai-I love those guys, too! That film Matt Lauer emceed must have been awesome and I'd love to see that one, too! Thanks so much for sharing so many wonderful events that you attend-I love seeing everyone of them! Hi Martha,
Nice pictures – you looked great in your white jacket and leather pants! Your producer Judy Morris looked especially nice also. I still remember when her first child was born, Jimmy I think, and she didn’t know very much about cooking. You made baby food with her. The unsmiling Tom Brokaw looks really disappointed in picture #6 that there was no keg but everyone else seemed to be having a good time. Thanks again for sharing – you go to the nicest parties! P.S. It was a fun show today with all the make-up tips. I’ll pass a few of those on to my grand niece who I think wears too much make-up or maybe she just doesn’t apply it right.
