A Party at ERES Boutique in East Hampton
I hosted an event at the ERES boutique in East Hampton last Saturday to preview their Spring/Summer Collection. ERES is a maker of beautiful swimwear and lingerie, using comfortable, high-quality fabrics. The brand is popular with East Hampton shoppers, and the boutique there is a small jewel, offering great product and very personal client service. Guests enjoyed champagne and other treats and were able to shop from the collections. It was a lovely night in East Hampton and everyone enjoyed the summer-like weather!
2 I was very happy when ERES, the luxury swimwear house, set up shop in East Hampton last year and I was especially happy when I was asked to hostess a promotional party in the store last weekend.
3 I have always been drawn to ERES swimwear and lingerie. The products are lovely, wonderful, and very flattering.
4 This iconic brand has been a force in the swimwear world for 40 years, when, in 1968, Irene Leroux decided that women needed and wanted swimsuits all year long.
5 According to the ERES Web site, 'Purity is one of the hallmarks of the brand. ERES swimsuits sculpted women's bodies and beautified them with ingenious cuts without using padding or boning as contemporary fashion then dictated.'
6 For this new concept, Irene Leroux created exclusive, comfortable fabrics to illustrate the art of the body.
7 Here I am with Lorna Dreher - ERES boutique owner and the gorgeous Alice Panikian - a Bulgarian-born Canadian model, who showed off some of the ERES fashions.
8 Alice Panikian modeling the Khol, a one-piece swimsuit with wide straps tied around the neck and deep V neckline. There is a draped effect and a pull-up gathering at the sides for more or less coverage.
11 This is the Salome, a one-piece swimsuit with wide straps adorned with jewel-like metal fittings and a low-cut V neckline - color is Visir.
12 Guests were treated to the latest flavors of Ladurée macarons, which make any party a colorful, chic success!
15 We loved the beautiful colors of the bathing suits and wraps. These pieces are from Les Essentials Collection.
16 This is ERES' first nail polish collection to match the swimwear in colors Bengale pink, Damas brown, and Soufi yellow.

Martha, I like your dress, some of the swim suits, (of course, I'd never wear them), and the outfit Emily is wearing.
I like picture # 7, also. And, number 12...Oh, for a middle of the night snack of those colorful macarons.

Is that Jude in photo 4? Absolutely love this blog of Hampton store as you are such a great hostess. Shopping thrift stores has enabled me to discover much designer items for pennies and this blog shows me wonderful glimpses of a world that may not be affordable but is part of LIVING.

The Eres swimsuits look very flattering and elegant, the Salome in pic 11 is very lovely. You looked very summery in your pretty dress Martha, love the espadrilles! I also like Lorna's outfit, her blouse is gorgeous. How funny G.K is helping with the shopping bag, that was nice of uncle Carlos to bring them by for a visit!

Hi Martha,
I thought you might be at some kind of event in East Hampton when your make-up artist Daisy posted a picture of you, Sophie and herself on her Twitter page. Nice swimwear line – call me old-fashioned but I’ve never liked bikinis even when I was fit enough to wear them. Some girls do have the perfect body for them but certainly not everyone, yet they wear them anyway. You looked great in your blue dress, and I especially liked the swimsuit in picture #11 with the wrap-around. It’s a pretty color. The light-as-air lingerie is nice too – I wonder if they have my size. I like wearing things that make me feel like I’m not wearing anything; including shoes but not much luck there. Thanks for the introduction to ERES and I’m sure you were a fabulous host - you always are! Trish

Martha, you are so beautiful! I never comment on blogs, but I just needed to tell you how radiant you look. I need to start following your skin care routine immediately - and I'm only in my 20s!!
Best wishes.

Martha, my mother has always said that beautiful legs have tiny ankles, (like hers, lol). That said, your legs are beautiful and those espadrilles do a great job highlighting those still fab ankles/legs of yours.
I love the ERES swimwear! xo k

I am a frequent visitor to the Hamptons and love the Eres store. Lorna is great to work with in choosing a swimsuit or lingerie - the quality of Eres is worth every penny! I was thrilled to see my daughter, Stacey Attias, enjoying the event and most of all, meeting you, Martha. I have been a Living subscriber and collector of your cookbooks for years - I'm a huge fan. Wish you would visit Texas soon. MJ Naschke
