Visiting The Home Depot in Atlanta, Georgia
I recently traveled to Atlanta, Georgia with my colleague, Kevin Sharkey, to attend a corporate meeting at The Home Depot headquarters. Following the meeting, Kevin and I spoke to an auditorium filled with wonderful Home Depot employees. We presented the three Martha Stewart Living Holiday Collections, available exclusively at The Home Depot and shared holiday decorating ideas, as well as do-it-yourself projects, using Martha Stewart Project paints. We demonstrated how to make a candy cane striped mailbox to put all of Santa’s letters in and also had a question-and-answer session. The next day, we toured the Buckhead store and also gave another holiday demonstration to Home Depot customers. It’s always great to talk to customers - to touch base and inform them about our fabulous products and their great value.
1 On Friday, after the corporate meeting, Kevin and I demonstrated holiday projects, such as how to decorate a wreath and how to create a custom candy cane-inspired mailbox.
2 Home Depot employees joined me on stage to create the candy cane mailboxes. We used painters tape on a white mailbox to make the stripes and and then painted it red. When the paint dries and the tape is removed, you have white and red stripes!
3 Here I am posing with the Home Depot Holiday Merchant Team. Their aprons are decorated to resemble the Martha Stewart Holiday Collection. These aprons were designed by the MSLO holiday crafts team.
4 On Saturday, at the Buckhead store, I interviewed with Eileen Gordon, the Publisher and Editor of Southern Seasons. I will be featured in the December Issue!
5 Here I am touring The Home Depot’s Garden Center with Marty Howard and Eileen Claar before going in to greet customers.
6 After the tour Kevin and I met with store associates and talked about all the Martha Stewart Livng products available at The Home Depot.
7 Kevin Spoke about our Specialty Paint Tool Kit. It includes all the tools you need to create effects with paint, like faux bois, gingham, and linen.
9 These associates were a crafty bunch! From left to right: Dewayne Kates, Sarah Fishburne, Javonda Grandison, Pam Burke, Richard McGriff, and Carrie Willoughby. Sarah is showing off an apron that Carrie decorated.
10 After meeting with the associates, I entered an adjacent tent and gave another presentation to the store customers.
11 I showed images of my homes and how they inspire products for the Martha Stewart Line at The Home Depot.

I need to get some of that metallic project paint of yours. The urn looks great in picture #12 and I have an old one that needs painting. I've been a little busy with repairs around the house lately but hopefully I'll get back to crafts soon, especially when my Circle Edge Punch arrives! What I need to do is stay off Pinterest for a day and maybe I'll get more stuff done. Maybe! Just for the record, there are three Home Depots close to me so it would be nice if you came down here for a visit! I just thought I'd throw that out there. The striped red mailbox looks great but we can't do anything like that in our development. We all have the same black mailbox and all we can do is put a garland around it during the holidays. Trish

You look marvelous and how can you keep up your schedule? Thanksgiving week celebrations have begun and 4 year old visiting our grandma who is 92 years young once more makes me truly grateful for traditions that continue
spirit of those pilgrims who invited the people that were already inhabitating our country to the first pot luck.

Martha, I aways look for your products in Home Depot, Michaels, Staples and of course Macy's! When I was looking for a floor length mirror for my walk-in closet, I went straight to Home Depot to see what they had and of course I choose yours! It's so well made and looks expensive! Thanks for sharing with us your visit to Atlanta and your wonderful demonstrations using the Martha Stewart Living Holiday Collections and your Project Paints. I love the metalic color you painted the urn in pic #12. My favorite picture of you is # 5, you look happy and pretty surrounded by the plants in the garden center of the Buckhead Home Depot!

I am perplexed my daffodils in Northeastern Pa have started to sprout and now it s going to get really cold. Should I cover the little green sprout or leave them alone.

I want the 7.5 Royal Douglas Fir Christmas Tree with the dual lights which was the special at Home Depot last Friday. Why can you not order it? RDF&75LD3S. I have checked Home Depots in three states! This is really bothering me that I can't find it no where!

The mailbox is fun and it looks inexpensive to create and do. What a lovely way to give energy to the mail carrier this holiday season.
