Revisiting Bedford House
You may recall last December when I paid a visit to Bedford House, located in Bedford Hills, New York, near my farm in Katonah. It’s a wonderful home boutique owned by Lesa Vogliano and Dennis Anderson, who seek out unusual items. This fun shop is filled with eclectic layers of old and new, all displayed very artistically. Enjoy this revisit to Bedford House!
1 Bedford House is located at 17 Depot Plaza, Bedford Hills NY, right across the street from the Bedford Hills Metro-North Railroad station.
2 This boutique is a great place to shop all year round, and at holiday times, you can find great gifts here.
3 This is Dennis Anderson, who is a partner in Bedford House with Lesa Vogliano. Dennis, a furniture designer, has had a long career in the furniture industry.
4 It's such an interesting store to browse in, filled from floor to ceiling with great stuff.

I do remember your visit to this lovely shop last year Martha. I could certainly spend a lot of time not to mention money in a place like the Bedford House! They seem to have a great variety of new and vintage/antique pieces, which is the look I love. My favorite item is in picture #32, the magnifying sconce, what a fun and interesting piece. Thanks for another look at the fabulous Bedford House!

Hi Martha,
Thanks for another look at the most interesting Bedford House which makes me wish I didn't live so far away. I really like that tufted bench in picture #28. I hope you're enjoying Miami - I saw some news online I think at Chanel. Demi Moore was holding a cat. How about our rain! It doesn't go on forever and then the sun is out again. Have a great weekend. Trish

Hi Marths
Wonderful place, full of interesting things, I'd drive crazy inside the store with so many options to buy. I liked picture 26 very much. Here in Brazil the weather is too hot these days. We are melting...

I love places like this - a new revelation at every turn! I'm sure I could not afford any of it, but it's so much fun to see it. What a grand tour, better than in person!

Hello Martha,
I adore these kind of shops. I love to rivet through placing some of these wonderful items in my dream house. Ideas I never seem to be lacking, just the budget to match is lacking.
I would like to travel the world being a spotter and buyer of fine things like this to send back to a shop to sell.

Dear Martha,
Years ago, I lived in Bedford,NY. I loved the area and the quaint little stores in each surrounding town. I fondly remember viewing your post of the Bedford House last year. This store reminds me of another, which was not far from this shop. It was the "Bedford Barn", which sadly, is no longer there. This shop also was very eclectic!
Thank you for the post and the walk down Memory Lane!

Dear Martha,
Thank you for sharing your post about Bedford House. It's so refreshing to see small businesses showcased by people like you. I feel more small businesses should get credit for their unique style and small town charm that is lacking these days and overshadowed by the big box stores.

I enjoyed this post very much. Big Box Stores have there place in the shopping world but, so do small, individualistic stores. The exterior look of the Bedford House is so inviting. I like the feeling that cross-buck doors and true divided light windows create for a building. They draw me right in! The item that intrigued me most was the ledger. I would enjoy leafing through it to see the items that people purchased back then and, the prices.

Martha, I've heard if you have to ask the price, you can't afford the itme, but...I am always curious about the price of things. That could come from being poor, but liking nice things, and it is partially curiosity, so...it would have been nice if the price tag had been turned over so we could see it.
Thanks for the tour of the store, though.
