The work tables for the most recent Crafternoon were set up in the spacious clerestory of our office space in the Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan.
There were three craft stations. One station was to embellish plain wooden frames, purchased at Michaels. Crafters worked with Martha Stewart Craft Paint, silkscreens and stencils, and foam pouncers.
The second station was set up for making Mother's Day cards with Martha Stewart Crafts tools, punches, paper, embellishments, stamps, and glitter glue pens.
At the third station employees painted wooden beads with Martha Stewart Crafts multi-surface craft paint, that gives projects a softly polished look. The beads could then be strung on Martha Stewart Crafts Cotton Hemp Yarn.
Everyone was excited to use our new craft products, like the layering punches.
With the layering punch you can create three different designs with one punch - a solid cut-out, a more detailed die-cut design, or a layered effect of the two shapes.
The bright multi-surface craft paint colors come in a variety of finishes, glitter, high gloss, metallic, pearl, and satin. They create the perfect crafting palette!
Jamie Pasculli - Marketing Manager, prepped her frame with a Pearl Finish Craft Paint in 'Gazing Ball'.

Diana Chen - Product Manager, was happy to allow us to follow her picture frame project from start to completion. She decided on the 'Raspberry Ice' paint in a satin finish.
Then she chose to use a Martha Stewart Crafts stencil to create her design
After positioning the stencil, she opted for the color, 'Rubber Ducky' in a satin finish.
She dabbed on the yellow paint using a foam pouncer.
And voila! How lovely!
To further embellish her creation, Diana chose these fun Martha Stewart Crafts Mini Cherry Blossoms. You simply pull them off from the base sheet.
And press their sticky backs right onto the dried surface.
With just the right photo added, Diana's mother will receive a very beautiful, custom gift to cherish forever!

Crafters used these wooden beads to create fun bracelets and necklaces.
For easy painting, the beads were threaded onto wooden skewers.
As the paint dried, they decided on what color of our cotton hemp yarn to use. It comes in a variety of colors and is soft and durable.
Nissa Eberly - Associate Production Director chose the pink yarn to compliment her 'Rose Chrome' and 'Light Gold' metallic finished beads.
