I Hosted A Great Book Party
In April, I hosted a book party for the author and blogger, Ronda Rice Carman, in the spacious clerestory in our offices in the Starrett-Lehigh building in New York City. Ronda’s new book from Rizzoli, Designers at Home: Personal Reflections on Stylish Living, is a compilation of personal living spaces from fifty highly-respected designers, and I was able to provide the foreword for this magnificent volume of work. The designers featured in the book share their philosophies on decorating and personal style, and provide a glimpse into the spaces that they call home. Our own Kevin Sharkey is featured in the book. It is truly an inspiring collection. Enjoy the pictures from the event, and be sure to visit Ronda’s popular lifestyle blog All the Best.
1 I was so thrilled to be able to host a party for my friend Ronda Rice Carmen and celebrate her new book, Designers At Home.
2 The spacious clerestory at our offices was decorated with lovely ornamental cherry blossoms.
3 The clerestory provided a bright and open space for guests to mingle with the designers featured in the book.
4 Guests were served Dogajolo Bianco, Rosato and Rosso wine from Opici Wines. www.opiciwines.com
5 Cheese straws, olives, and nuts were served by Chef Pierre Schaedelin as a perfect complement to the wine.
