My Recent Appearance On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Last week, I was invited to guest star on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, along with Jon Hamm and Brit Marling. During my segment, I taught Jimmy how to make one of my favorite summer cocktails, a Sour-Cherry Mojito. We also had a Cubano Sandwich Face-Off. I made my Grilled Cubano from the July/August Martha Stewart Living. It's always a pleasure visiting Jimmy and we had a really fun time with the contest. If you haven't seen the segment, click here.
Jimmy stopped by my dressing room to welcome me to the show. It's always great to see him.
I have always enjoyed being a guest on Jimmy’s show, and was so glad to be on his exciting new venue, The Tonight Show.
Kevin Sharkey weighed in while Daisy did my hair and makeup.
We didn’t actually open the tequila, but here is Kevin posing with the bottle of fine Patron that was left for us in my dressing room.
This is my long time publicist, Susan Magrino. The Tonight Show filmed two shows last Thursday and we were there for an evening taping, which aired last Friday night.
Caroline Brown has just joined the Susan Magrino agency.
Daisy Schwartzberg has been my hair and makeup artist for the last three years.
I took a photo of the corridor leading to all of the dressing rooms, as well as the door backstage. An extraordinary number of amazingly talented guests have walked through this corridor.
There was a lot happening backstage as the crew was preparing for the show. While Jimmy and the guests were getting ready to go onstage, Team Fallon was hard at work preparing for the night.
Jon Hamm, the Emmy nominated actor for "Mad Men", and I shared a laugh backstage before dressing for our appearances.
Jon is currently producing and acting with Daniel Radcliffe in "A Young Doctor’s Notebook," airing on Ovation.
Here I am with Brit Marling, who stars as Karen in the new movie "I Origins", about molecular biology and its relation to the existence of soulmates.
Our two Executive Interns at MSLO, Gabriella Czarniak and Michael Goldman, assisted backstage. They had a wonderful time seeing the production process of the Tonight Show.
A nice photo of me in my dressing room after Daisy had finished my hair and makeup, and right before I went onstage
Jimmy and Jon performed a very funny skit called “Palisades Park Pet Patrol”, which had many of us backstage in tears of laughter. It was as messy as it was hilarious!
Jon made his best face for the camera
Jimmy has all of his guests sign his guest book. I wrote that I hoped he would still love me after I beat him in the Cuban sandwich contest.

Jimmy made Questlove put on a dome of silence so that he could not hear or see what we were adding to our competing sandwiches. Jimmy’s secret ingredient was coleslaw, which is not authentic to a Cuban sandwich, but was still tasty.
I knew Jimmy has an aversion to mayonnaise, so I pulled out a giant container to throw off his game. Ultimately, Questlove voted for Jimmy’s sandwich - not surprising! Questlove is, of course, the drummer and joint frontman, along with Black Thought, for the Grammy Award-winning band The Roots, Jimmy Fallon's amazing in-house band.
