In addition to the cabinets, this is our popular Snowcap Quartz countertop. It's designed to coordinate well with a variety of MSL finishes. I love using Quartz for counters because it resists heat, scratches, cracks and stains.
All our door mounted pull-outs feature QuietClose guides, which are great especially when little hands are helping in the kitchen.
This is a new addition to my collection at The Home Depot. It is a base bin tray pull-out with a special pet feeding drawer. It’s a dedicated center for pet food, treats, leashes and all other petkeeping essentials. And, the bins and trays are removable, so they're easy to clean.
I have alway loved the use of open shelving in a kitchen. These are our new Painted Tray Shelves, also in a Rainwater color finish that match the cabinets.
Our kitchens have amazing organizational features you can choose, such as this base pull-out with BPA-free space-saving canisters - I love that they're clear, so it's easy to see what's inside. It also has our QuietClose feature and two fixed shelves.
This is also a great option - our base pull-out with knife and utensil organization. This helps free-up valuable counter space and keeps all your sharp utensils safely in one place. The multi-purpose bottom tier holds larger bowls and strainers.
Here is a behind the scenes look at me preparing for the shoot - I wear a special microphone that allows me to move about the kitchen freely without compromising the quality of the audio.
And here I am cutting lemons for the shoot and focusing on what I have say once the cameras are turned on.
We brought our own crew with us for the shoot. This is our marketing manager, Kristina DeGeorge, and our VP of merchandising, Susan McKenna.
And, this is Kim Miller-Olko who heads up our Video Programming and Development team.
It was a busy shoot schedule, so we had the day catered by Catering by Christina. This is a warm grain Bibb salad with pickled radishes, grapes, pecans, fennel, and red onion-yogurt based mint dressing. http://www.cateringbychristina.com
This is always a popular side - delicious roasted potatoes.
And, roasted herb-rubbed, lemon-garlic chicken
We had stuffed grilled portobellos with smoked tomato, fontina cheese and fresh herbs.
This is a refreshing summer corn salad - cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and basil, with mint-red wine vinegar dressing.
This is a local cheese board with sweet onion jam and tomato marmalade on crusty breads and crostinis. http://www.thomsbread.com
Of course, we also had a fresh vegetable board with pickled beets, Moroccan-scented carrots, Persian cucumbers, red and golden beets with assorted nuts and hummus.
Double crust pie with pineapple rhubarb.
I love visiting local stores whenever I travel. We stopped at Lancaster Central Market, the country’s oldest continuously operating farmers’ market. http://www.centralmarketlancaster.com
The market is housed in a 120-year old building. Regional food specialties include Pennsylvania Dutch sausage, scrapple, and headcheese. You'll also find preserves, including chowchow, which is pickled vegetables in a spicy mustard sauce.
I loved the old wooden ceiling.
The market provides more than 60-vendors specializing in various foods and cuisines - it's popular with visitors and area residents.
There are a variety of booths here, such as Saife's Middle Eastern Food, which offers a wide variety of prepared Middle Eastern dishes using ingredients such as olive oils, rice, sumaq, za'atar, and cous cous.
Another vendor is Shady Maple. They offer more than 300-foods made from scratch, including specialty cakes and pies. We bought one of their delicious shoo-fly pies.
There were lots of homemade cookies and other sweet treats.
And look at these fresh seasonal fruits - yellow cherries and blueberries.
Black raspberries - everything looked so delicious and sweet.
At Ric’s Bread, I bought some English muffins for my grandchildren - they love eating them for breakfast when they visit the farm.
Ric's also had some sweet cinnamon buns - this looks so tempting.
