What It's Like to Travel With Me
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. It’s a fun challenge to prepare and post on a regular basis. However, this week, my blog team is taking a well-deserved rest and I have decided to repost some of the most popular blogs from the past. I hope you are all enjoying the summer and staying as cool as can be.
A couple of days ago, I blogged about my adventures at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, held in Miami, Florida. I thought I would share with you what I did along the way to Miami. On Thursday of last week, after a vigorous workout, I met my hairstylist, at 8AM. In between phone calls, I sipped my cappuccino while Laura Acuna, my housekeeper, made fresh fruit salad and hardboiled eggs for the plane ride. Meanwhile, Annie Fisher, my wardrobe stylist, worked on the final details of the outfits she was packing for my multiple-stop journey ahead. At 8:30, with bags in car, I departed for Westchester County Airport to meet up with my travelling companions. We boarded our jet and at 9:00 sharp, we took off for North Carolina, our first destination. Tomorrow, I will share that with you.
Annie Fisher, my wardrobe stylist, helps me pack for all of my trips. She had a question about sandals and the outfits I would be wearing at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.
G.K. was at his favorite spot at the kitchen door looking out over the farm.
I always leave Mike, my property director, with a long list of ToDos.
Laura Acuna, my housekeeper, made hard boiled eggs for the plane ride.
Sharkey with her favorite Uncle Carlos
A last minute cappuccino
One of many, many phone calls I make or take on any given day
Susie, my executive assistant in Bedford, enjoys her morning cappuccino, too.

Security is tight.
There was plenty of snow on the ground.
Boarding our plane
Before takeoff, everyone caught up on their latest emails.
All clear for takeoff!
The view after takeoff of the densely populated metropolitan area
And the mighty Hudson River
Daisy Schwartzberg - my makeup artist and Patsy Pollack - EVP of Merchandising
We all shared a really yummy breakfast.
After breakfast, Daisy got out her tools of the trade.
She applied my makeup while the other passengers caught up on their reading. By the way, applying makeup while flying in a plane like this, requires a really steady hand.
This snack drawer aboard the plane is particularly well-stocked.
After makeup, I exercised my brain with a little KenKen.
Our descent to Kinston Regional Jetport - The flight was about 1.5 hours.
After landing in Kinston, NC, Loren Edwards met us at our plane and drove us to MasterBrand Cabinets, about a 10-mile trip.
And here I am about to meet the good people at MasterBrand Cabinets.
