Our Television Wrap Party at EN Japanese Brasserie
Yesterday’s blog was all about the final taping of my television show. Today’s blog is all about the wonderful wrap party we threw to celebrate the close of our seventh season. The party was held at one of my favorite eateries owned by my friends, Reika and Jesse Alexander, called EN Japanese Brasserie, located in the West Village of Manhattan. It was a bittersweet celebration and I am deeply honored to have worked with so many extraordinarily talented individuals. I also appreciate all of your comments, concerns, and loyalty but rest assured, this show may be over, but we are working on continuing in a different format. Please be patient.
2 EN Japanese Brasserie is a truly authentic Japanese restaurant located in the West Village of Manhattan, offering a relaxed style of dining centered around a procession of small plates.
3 The chefs created many fabulous foods, including this hijiki seaweed and soy bean simmered in shoyu.

I loved your show so much! I hate to see it gone. But I know you are probably busy coming up with something new and wonderful and I can't wait to see it. I have to say your cooking segments are the only ones I enjoy of any cooking segments...because you always take things out of the guest's hands and correct them. It always makes me laugh. I will so miss the show. Thanks for seven years.

Enjoyed your show very much. I didn't realize it took that many people to put on your show. I want to keep seeing you on TV; hopefully you'll be back on TV.

Wow...how tall are you Martha?

Martha, I've been an admirer for years. Will watch for you on PBS and this website, which is excellent. You are a great role model. S.

Martha, Martha, you work soooooo hard! I cringe when I hear people say you are lucky. Lucky, my butt - you have worked yours off all of your life to get where you are - what a role model! The way you handled the jail thing was exquisite - no whining and denying like all the other people in the world, just doing what needed to be done, with grace. You have been blessed Martha, and you ARE a blessing. And Joey, oh how I will miss Joey!

WOW you sure employed a lot of folks for this TV show - now what will happen to them all? I will watch your PBS show for sure.

What a treat seeing all the great, talented people behind the scenes that made The Martha Stewart Show such a class act.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Martha,
Everyone looks happy at the wrap party and not sad as if things were wrapping up for good, so good for that! It’s like summer hiatus as usual and then I can’t wait to see what you guys have been working on. I feel better already and I’m also conjuring up all kinds of images of what might be in store for us. I can’t wait to see if I’m anywhere near the mark because sometimes I am. I’ll still be watching the shows all summer long but maybe I’ll watch in the afternoon instead of at 10:00 A.M. if the shows are still on in the afternoon. Have a great weekend and thanks for today’s fun pictures! Trish

Say it isn't so! I will watch you on PBS, but please bring back your tv show with all the elements of home, food and garden. Thank you to all the people who have helped make the show so informative and pleasing. And especially to you Martha, come back soon!

Martha I enjoyed your show very much. Over the years you have been a great treacher. Although I must say I truly loved when your show was taped in your Turkey Hill home.

Hi Martha, That sure was a great Party for all of your terrific crew members who looked so happy and so did you! All of you work so hard to give us the best TV Shows in the world and I love watching you LIVE everyday of the week and you sharing your personal LIVING about you, your family, your pets, animals, friends, travels, etc.! You are my very special, dearest friend and I am trying to be very patient about what will happen next-a new hourly, daily show?! You are so inspiring, positive, outstanding and fantastic to teach us such wonderful things on every show, blog, magazine, books, etc.! I love learning something new everyday-thanks from the bottom of my heart! Sure hope you have another great day and a fabulous Mother's day with Alexis, Jude, and Truman and of course your fur babies F,S,&GK! Sure hope your doggies are doing even better and can't wait to hear about all of you! Thanks for sharing again my friend! Love to all, Jan

One of the most important things you have taught us about LIVING is patience.I will always appreciate the perverance and unending work searching for the best in life to share in this blog. You are gorgeous wearing orange. Thank you.

I can't wait to see your new plans - looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing this blog.

Martha,
I am sad for you and the crew, but excited at the same time. Being Canadian, I am selfishly hopeful about seeing your new programming in my country. The Hallmark Channel not being aired here was an obstacle that just wasn't going to change. I was able to see clips of the show, one of the many things I'll miss is your beautiful set. The most beautiful set on television. Luckily we can all go to home depot and get it for ourselves. lol
best wishes to you and the crew.

Miss Martha how I will miss your show. One of the many things I respected about your show was you kept the bar high, you respected your viewership and always put forth a high quality product. If I used one of your recipes it always turned out beautifully. Thank you for such a hallmark of excellence. I wish you and your staff and production company well. Looking forward to future successes.

Hi Martha, I loved watching your show every day especially the crafts. The show with the icelandic horses was my favorite, they look like a joy to ride. I also enjoy your pets & Marc Marone so I hope your new shows will still have these things in the line up. Have a great summer & I hope to see your new shows in the fall. JoAnn

I am still thinking The Martha Stewart School of Living would be a catalyst for opening more doors for you and other people. I do like the idea of Martha Stewart teaching online. Colleges and universities have been doing online courses with much success. I would definately enroll as a student. Wishing you never ending success. Cheers, Thomas

I am so sad that your show has come to a close. I have enjoyed all your programs & feel the Hallmark is loosing a great partner. I will be waiting for your next venture. The Williamsburg PBS does not carry your cooking shows. I do hope if those shows continue I will be able to view them. I have always felt a connection with you (my family calls me Martha) because my birthday is also August 3rd. - I will miss you - who will I hae my 2nd cup of coffee with each morning.

Your show will be missed, by myself and many more. I am disappointed that you didn't address the end of the show on Hallmark for your fans. We have followed faithfully. We would like to know if there's anything in the future for us. You certaily don't owe us anything, but it would have been a considerate gesture.

Oh, how I will miss your show. I have used so many of your ideas to create numerous gifts for others. Right now, my friends call on me for "Cookie Trees" for special occasions since your show with Dani Fiori and her cookie tree creations. Additionally, I do the monthly onsies as my go to shower gifts for new babies. My entire office staff received Terrariums for Christmas after seeing the show with Tovah Martin.
Martha, Martha, Martha, what shall I do?
I will continue to scour the website, purchase anything with your name printed on it and try to carry on. You have inspired me to tap into my creative side and I truly thank you for that.
I look forward to your future endeavors and...I will wait patiently!
Best wishes and thank you for all the inspiration and creativity you have shared.
Fondly,
Tward
PS...the new cookbook is awesome!

Martha and team,
I will miss your show and the beautiful things that were on it. There is nothing else like it on TV (and it was the only reason I watched the Hallmark channel). Best wishes and looking forward to what is next!

Martha I have enjoyed all your holiday shows the most and I really miss the old ones at Tirkey Hill. They made me feel so special about what I was doing at home and with my children. Yours shows gave me so many good ideas for my family and home! I cannot wait to see what you do next! Best wishes to the grandchildren!

I will try to "Keep Calm and Carry On" without your daily delights, but it will be hard as I treasure your skills and show so much. (The set alone was ingenious). The funny thing is the seven years your show ran on Hallmark mirrored my time home with my baby. I was so glad she was born when your show premiered! She would bounce in her swing and we would watch. I remember the cute dog that skateboarded...It is in my home video of that day. It was challenging to transition from working woman to mom at home and seeing you made it so nice. Now my girl is enjoying first grade and we will create many projects together inspired by you. A toast to you and your gifted staff.

Have I missed something?? Has The Martha Stewart Show been cancelled?? Say it isn't so!
I had the pleasure to be in the audience in early Feb. and loved it. You have such a wonderful group of people who work for you. Everyone was so gracious.
What is this about being on PBS? I need to know. I love watching The Martha Stewart Show ad will miss it so much.

Hi Martha, I have really missed your shows. We do not have a cable connection and I found out how addicted I was to the shows, when I could no longer see them. Here's hoping KPBS in San Diego will put your future productions in their programming schedule. Best wishes to you.

I am so sorry to see your show has ended. I taped your shows each day and looked forward to coming home after work and watching them. It was my way of relaxing and enjoying all the great information you provided over the years. I especially enjoyed the holiday celebrations you had over the years, especiall the Halloween segments. I hope you will find a way to come back to TV soon. Enjoy the summer with your grandkids!

Selfishly, I want you to return with another show. However, as a Grandmother myself, just chill and spend MAJOR time with JUDE!
That you for letting me enjoy your MAGICAL PRODUCTIONS! BEST OF LUCK!

Would like to see a show like you had several years ago gardening at your home, cooking at home, doing crafts, etc. Also the ones where you had a set and guest cooks and no audience. I prefer the simpler shows you used to do. Good luck in whatever you do in the future Martha.
