Glittering on the "Today" show! Come watch!
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of glitter and I love all kinds of glitter crafts. We’
ve been busy glittering away on my television show and I thought it would be fun to share a couple of projects when I appeared on the Today Show this week. I brought in an array of eighteen gorgeous shades of glitter from the Martha Stewart Create craft line sold at Walmart. So, look at these photos, watch the video clip, and get glittering for the holidays!

Glittering is something I love about Christmas - is it because it resembles fairytale?
I feel like sinking in unreal world...
Merry Christmas from Poland,

Hi Martha, Couldn't find the video clip of your Today Show appearance, but I did see the actual show yesterday and it was really fun and glittery! I love your craft products at Walmart and usually buy some every time I visit their Superstore that is real close to Costco. The Walmart in my area seems to have more of the craft items than Michaels. I saw the new 1-800 Flowers ad with Jim McCann while I was watching you judge the chefs on Bravo's Top Chef show. I love the ad and your your appearance on Top Chef was outstanding! Congratulations on getting the fifth season of "The Martha Stewart Show" for next year! Life just wouldn't be the same without your show on TV every year. I can hardly wait to see the new photos of Genghis Khan when he comes to live with you soon and am anxiously awaiting his first appearance on your show! Thanks for sharing all that you do. Jan

Your glitter at Michael's is my heroin.

I had some glitter stored in with my Christmas decorations and then I bought some of your glitter. What a difference so now I can throw the old stuff out. I don't know how glitter is made but yours is definitely top-notch!
I hope Meredith 'got busy' that afternoon with some glittering of her own. She needs to watch your show more often and get an idea of how many of us enjoy being in your 'little world'. It's fun to glitter; we just made a sign the other day and glittered it all up.
I've been driving around with a magnetic sign on my car that advertises your show on the Fox network which I had made special, so maybe for Christmas I'll glitter a big MARTHA sign to put in the window or I'll put it on the front bumper.
Happy Holidays and enjoy your trip to the Spa. That sounds like fun! Trish

Martha,
I am completely "glitterless" at this time, and keep running into things that I'd like to glitter. I remember how fun it was when I was a kid. I really should get some "Martha" Glitter! Lots of pine cones here to glitter and make wreaths with, or swags.
Glittered wall paper?

You had mentioned a site for the tinsel in your segment on glittering. Something about a site for Christmas related items? Could you please tell me what the name of that store is? Thanks!

Glitter and the holidays are inseparable, in my opinion. An extra layer of magic!
Speaking of the holidays, has anyone on your staff received my emails? If someone could let me know I'd appreciate it. Time is running short and I'd really like to grant Mom's wish. Thank you! ^_^

Martha: I just LOVE your line of glitter! The colors are so vivid.
I've done several Christmas Craft Shows this year and I glittered everything I could think of. The good news is I sold everything that had your glitter on and the customers were so excited to have these items in their homes and for gifts.
Most of all I feel the glitter has brighten the Holidays, expecially with the economy situation this year.

I really love the little glittery animals. Its nice to know that there are so many colors to choose from. Does anyone know what the best kind of glue is to use for this kind of craft? Does Elmer's cut it?

Glorious glitter...we all need to have our homes sparkling for the holidays...it provides the Christmas magic!
So wonderful Martha that you take the time to show others how beautiful and easy it is to create the *sparkle*!

Glitter rules! (. . .and my young-adult kids just roll their eyes when they see that Mom has found something else to glitter. Underneath it all, they know it's really beautiful---they just don't like to admit it.)

Thank you..For all of the Christmas craft inspiration. For your products, guides and ideas. For the inspiration and suggestions and for making so many of my projects go from being mearly vague and wishful ideas to real live Christmas treasures - much like yourself...
Merry Christmas Martha, and all the best for the New Year!

I received glitter paint when I was eight years old (many, many moons ago ha!) and have been hooked on it ever since.
Whenever I visit my local Michael's store I always leave with some on my hands. It does indeed brighten up any kind of holiday decorations and such.
Happy Holidays to all my fellow bloggers...

Most glues will be fine, but Elmer's goes on think so it could look lumpy. I'v been using Mod Podge and putting on a thin layer with a cheap foam brush.
The glitters are gorgeous. We did a Christmas tree craft for the preschool Christmas party and the brown construction paper didn't show up on red paper for the tree trunk. I used the bronze glitter on the brown paper and it was gorgeous.

Glitter, glitter, everywhere!! I LOVE glitter too! Your colors are WONDERFUL!! I am going to ask for them for Christmas! I only have one negative comment - and it isn't about you! As a teacher - when I use glitter.... the cleaning person... is mad at me for days!! No matter how many times we sweep it up... the room still sparkles! I always joke and say... this is the prettiest dirt around! Happy Holidays!

Did I miss the source for the animals she glitters? Where can u find them and the reindeer? In high school (about two decades ago) for a craft project, a guy in my glass said his glittered pine cone project was a way to cheeply impress someone. It realy is. He was ahead of his time!!

I love your cream sweater on your show today (12-22-08) featuring latkes, Russ & daughters, etc. Was it handmade? I am a knitter and I would love that pattern! I just looked beautiful on you.
Thanks & a Merry Christmas to you!

Martha, I just wanted you to know how happy I was to see The Snowflake craft from the plastic 6-pack rings. I am a volunteer at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan and we collect the rings from people so they won't get thrown away without being cut up. Now we can make decorations for the zoo and maybe inspire other people to do the same when they see them. One of the best recycle projects I've seen!!

I began glittering a few seasonal and holiday decorations last year and WOW what a difference the little sparkles make!! Visitors and company even remarked about how pretty and attractive my cards, tree decorations and invitations were! Can't wait to check out the new Martha colors! Thanks for the tips and tools to make it all happen. Happy Holidays!!
