Photographs taken by my employees
On Friday, I showed you some beautiful 4th of July photos taken by my driver, Rock. As I told you in that posting, my company invited employees to view the fireworks from the rooftop of the Starrett Lehigh building. I thought it would be fun to ask anyone who took pictures if they would like to share them on my blog. Judging from the photos that were submitted, the evening of fireworks over the Hudson River was a spectacular occasion.

Hi Martha, Your employees are fantastic photographers as well as great workers at MSLO. These are some of the best photos I have seen of Fourth of July firework displays. It's hard to pick out favorites because all of these photos are perfect or close to it. Their timing was almost perfect on each photo so that we could enjoy the best part of each display. Please thank Ashley, Jennifer, Christopher, Neil, Raymond and Burton for a job well done. Please thank Rock for his great photos, also. I didn't realize he took the other set of photos. Thanks again for sharing. Jan

I'm sure everyone is excited to have their photos on your blog, Martha.
We heard the NYC fireworks were extra special this year and it looks like that was true! Great photos.
Our town fireworks were done over the mighty Columbia River so folks in both Washington and Oregon enjoyed them.

Very good, the pictures are spectacular and the photographers should be proud. It does appear some skill was involved in capturing the moment. The whole evening looks like an enjoyable one and something to look forward to.

Hi Martha,
I have to agree with Jan, the photos were some of the best I've seen taken of fireworks. It's not easy to get so much color against a dark sky and what a view they had. The sky is really pretty in #6 and I like the silhouettes of the people in the last 4 or 5 shots. All of the pictures were great but #28 by Burton DeWilde stood out the best for me. He captured the city lights in the background, the crowd in the foreground and perfect fireworks against a beautiful sky in the distance. Wow! Trish

Hi Martha!
Is that a trumpet I hear?...
OOOEW! Burton De Wilde! And AAAH! Christopher Raffetto! And ZOOM! Christopher...Lord have mercy! Christopher! GO! Christopher, GO!!! ...and here comes Ashley Little; GREAT SHOT! ...and it's Ashley and Christopher nose-to-nose. Now advancing and riding the black and white gelding, Neil M. Golub! ...Neil just changed horses! Go Neil! And he's still going... Raymond Koehne takes a beautiful shot for the lead, and now Burton's back in the race with Jason Emmett at the side (and a little but in the pink) heading down the homestretch and HERE THEY COME!!! And it's Martha Stewart's, 'EVERY FLASH CHAMPION' at the finish line!!!
