The gift of clean
This year for our corporate gifts, I decided to give something quite different. As you may know, we have been working on developing Martha Stewart Clean, a new line of natural home cleaning solutions, developed with The Hain Celestial Group. The products are non-toxic and environmentally friendly with no added fragrances or colors. They are all plant and mineral-based and are packaged in recyclable plastic bottles. We are very proud of these products and wanted to share them as gifts. Have a look!
P.S The response as been phenomenal and the cleaning frenzy has begun!
1 The tops of my floor cleaner - all the bottles were designed with simplicity in mind.
2 Really good spray nozzles
3 This pump bottle of dish and hand soap looks good right on your sink.
4 Easy to handle bottles of dishwasher detergent
5 Everything about this line spells 'clean.'
6 Some of the products lined up for assembly
7 The laundry detergent has a really great pump.
8 My fabric softener keeps your clothing soft and static free.
9 For streak-free windows and mirrors
10 I have lots of wood floors and this cleaner works wonderfully well without leaving a filmy residue behind.
11 The bathroom cleaner works really well without being abrasive.
12 I use this every day all-purpose cleaner nearly everywhere!
13 I've never seen my glass and dishware so sparking clean, streak-free, and shiny!
14 If you have carpets, you'll be very happy with this carpet stain remover, which removes stains from all carpets and rugs while protecting fibers and keeping colors bright
15 The natural thickeners in this toilet bowl cleaner allow it to cling to vertical surfaces for effective cleaning and deodorizing, and it removes hard water stains.
16 The greeting card for the gifts
17 We found these collapsible mesh cubes to pack the cleaning products in.
18 The containers fit so nicely.
19 I love how this gift looks.
20 We used silver tissue to stabilize the bottles.
21 Carly, Julia, and Jackie were on the team of packers.
22 Erin pitched in, as well.
23 The cubes were then placed in brown paper bags with brown tissue - all ready for hand delivery.

Where will you be distributing these green products? I am baking my gingerbread and shortbrad cookies. I have done all my recipes for the holidays from the Baking Handbook. Breads: Honey Whole Whaeat . Baguette, Olive Oil Bread and Cinnamon Raisin Bread. Now I am rolling out the gingerbread men dough and next the short bread dough -- I used the recipe from online for the snowflake shortbread cookies for this recipe. Lastly I have my grandmother's apple pie recipe baking now. I must confess that I used the Toll House chocolate chip recipe -- it is a tradition. But I do promise one of these days to try your Alexis' Chocolate chip Cookie Recipe. TIme it investigate those cleaning products. Happy Holidays!

What a lovely gift! I adore the packaging. Can't wait to try it!

Great to see you expand the franchise! But I have to say, the label design could have been more beautiful like most of your products. I wish you success though. I'm sure there was lots of test marketing.

Merry Christmas Martha, Laura & Eliad and to everyone who visits this blog. Peace and goodwill to all!
~
So far I have the laundry detergent and I like it a lot! The way it dispenses by the half ounce is good and it might be my imagination, but my clothes feel softer when they come out of the dryer. I'm using my regular dryer sheets so it must be something in the detergent. Also, spaghetti stains are gone from my tee shirts. lol. It's a good thing. Enjoy your evening with Alexis and Kevin! Trish

I've been using the products for the last month or so and they are EXCELLENT!
It's nice that they are now available at The Home Depot! I saw a huge display of all the cleaning supplies today!
Happy Holidays, Martha

Love you Martha, but cleaning products are not a good gift to give (or get).
Merry Christmas darling!

You come up with a lot of great ideas but this one, I REALLY love it. There is a certain amount of guilt that goes with being a consumer. I will look for these.

I am so excited about the new cleaning products! Actually, I can't believe how excited I am over these new products. Maybe I need to get a life. However, I am a clean-a-holic and can't wait to try these.
We just opened some Christmas Eve presents and ate a delicious dinner together as a family. Merry Christmas!

My first thought when I learned you were coming out with your own line of cleaning products was "What took you so long?" When will they be available to the public? I'm very interested in trying them and know they have to be a quality product to have your name on them.
Posted by: Paula Ogden | December 24th, 2009 at 8:57 pm
I want to try all of them...they look like they will make our cleaning chores fun!
Thanks, Martha...i'll be shopping for these next week. After the holidays when my house will need to be cleaned all over again.

Martha is there any way I can do a product review of your cleaning products? It would be for my blog Talking With Tami. Thanks

Hi Martha, What a fabulous gift to give your employees! I love your comments about each product and can hardly wait to buy all of them! When and where will they be available?! Each product sounds perfect for cleaning everything in the house! Sure hope you have as good a day tomorrow as you tweeted about today. Best wishes to you and all of those around you. This was the 1st time since your Sirius radio channel started that I was unable to reach you to say 'Happy Holidays' so I will say it now and try again next year. Love you, Martha. Jan

I bought the entire line at my local Giant Eagle in Frederick, MD. I live 50 miles away from Frederick, but this line of products was well worth the drive. Next year, I think in January, the products will be in Home Depot stores across the country!! I'm so excited because these products are great, effective, odorless, and attractive. My favorite product is the Wood Floor Clean. The wood floors shine like never before, and there's no waxy residue.
The window cleaner is superb, and it leaves NO streaks... i TRIED to make it streak, and it wouldn't. A Godsend of a glass and window cleaner!
I truly think these products will redefine the word "Clean" for many Americans and their families, and I wish MSLO the very best success in 2010. I can't wait to see the amazing products you'll be unveiling in the near future, making our lives a lot easier!
Thank you Martha!

I think you should do a giveaway of these amazing-looking (and -sounding) products here on your blog! I would LOVE to have them. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

Animal Testing? I look forward to using these products - but I wonder if they involved any animal testing - do you have a policy against it to support the products' manufacturing practice?
I hope so - that would be important - thank you.

"no added fragrances or colors" you mean odorless.

will these products be available in Canada, and if so, in which store?
Posted by: Meg | December 28th, 2009 at 3:59 pm
My husband just came back from Home Depot(we live in SE Massachusetts), and bought me the Martha Stewart Clean Dish/Hand Soap and Mutli-Purpose cleaner. Love, love, love......to answer some of you, SLS-free(Sodium Laureth Sulfate), No animal testing or animal by-products. I now only need one bottle by the kitchen sink, not two products for hands and dishes. Multi-Purpose cut thru grease on stove top with little effort. Price was comparable to major brand cleaners.

Hi Martha. Place these products in Walmart, Target and K-mart where we ,the cleaning homemakers, can get to them easly. They sound great and thanks for not puting a lot of perfume in the products. I have lungs that cannot take a lot smelly cleaners. Good time of year for these to hit the market! Good Luck.

So great to see you are finally making products for us to use rather than trying to find something CLOSE to what you might use in your home. I have had wood floors in my house forever and have always thought, "what would Martha use?" when cleaning my floors. Now I don't have to think that anymore, as long as you tell me where and when I can find your products, since I live in the beautiful hinterlands of Oxford, Md. in God's country on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Really, one of the most idylic spots left, as long as you are content with small town life, but hard to take if you long for great shopping and great markets! So please give us the goods! ! !

Hi Martha - - Happy New Year to All!! I just love all the new cleaning products line. Just a suggestion, why not offer a "sampler" package.... one of each item in a set. That way we can try them all. I don't often have storage space for 6 bottles of one item at a time. I love your blog and I have really enjoyed watching all your Christmas shows. Can't wait for more exciting ideas and recipes for 2010.

Just purchased your new "Martha Stewart Clean" hand-dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener. I've already tried out the hand-dish soap and love it! It only takes a small amount to clean up buttered hands. Also, the spout design on the laundry soap and softener is genius: no mess! FYI: All of the products were on display up front at Home Depot in Denver, just inside the front door -- caught our eye right away!
