Fresh, Flavor, Fast on Today
Thursday, on the Today show, I was so pleased to demonstrate some wonderful recipes from our latest cookbook, Everyday Food: Fresh, Flavor, Fast. Since its recent release, this book, which happens to be my seventieth, has been very well received. It was designed and written for the way we cook and eat now - a lighter fare with fewer ingredients, but with tasty and nutritious results. I think you will agree that Fresh, Flavor, Fast, a collection of 250 recipes for easy, delicious meals all day long, is a useful and practical addition to your library. It also makes a great gift.
2 The ingredients for a great flavor-filled sandwich - fig jam, arugula, sliced asiago cheese, and prosciutto assembled on a baguette
3 Calimyrna figs are used to make this fig jam, which is also delicious as a snack with raisin bread and blue cheese.
9 Low-sodium chicken broth, soba noodles, snow peas, red pepper, thinly sliced chicken breast, lime juice, and scallions
11 Al giving a thumbs-up approval for the next recipe - Spicy shrimp and tomato pasta. He said he was going to make it for dinner.

Hi Martha,
All of these recipes looked so good when you prepared them on the Today Show but I'll be making the shrimp with pasta first since I'm a pasta freak. I had to run out and get capers this morning, and I also just ordered the book through Amazon with the link you provided. I was going to get it at our Costco store but didn't see it on any of the tables.

Have a nice weekend - I'm enjoying your contests on Twitter! Trish

Looks like a winner. I do get tired of the fast Trader Joe meals, and this looks like the solution. Thanks! Matti

Hi Martha, I love watching you on the 'Today Show'! For some reason, I almost forgot you were on yesterday and only got so see the last part about the peanut coated chicken. Thank you for showing the video along with the great photos. I could have gone online to 'The Today Show', but it's more fun seeing it on your blog! Those recipes sure were great from your 'Everyday Food-Fresh Food Fast' new cookbook that I just love! Seventy books so far-absolutely fantastic!! I have about half of them and I wish I had them all!!! Your TV show yeaterday was super! My favorite part was watching handsome little G.K. learning to respond when you called him!! He is so special!!! Loved today's show, also. Emeril is something else!!! He is a great chef!!! Love, Jan

Martha - Thank you so much for recommending the use of Olive Oil. It is a healthy and flavorful oil suitable for most all of your cooking needs. At City Olive we recommend tasting it before buying - you will taste the difference. Thank you for encouraging healthy choices!

I can't wait to pick up a copy of this book. I have Great Food Fast and just love it. Those recipes really work for busy families and show that you can eat well without having to spend half your day cooking.
And by the way: love the colors you chose for the cover of your new book. Beautiful!
