President Bill Clinton, Elton John, Ben Stiller, and Taylor Swift at the Time 100 Gala
On Tuesday evening, May 4th, 2010, I had the great pleasure of attending the annual Time 100 Gala held at New York City’s Lincoln Center. This event celebrates the 100 people that Time considers to be the most influential in the world. The list has been consolidated into four categories – leaders, artists, thinkers, and heroes. I was invited back as an alumna, having been presented with this great honor back in 2005. I must say that it is most exciting to be in the company of such distinguished individuals from Nobel Peace Prize winners, to political leaders, sports figurers, celebrities, and other do-gooders.

That Taylor Swift is a sweetie. She made a surprise visit to the prettiest little village on the Plains to entertain a spontaneously gathered crowd of Auburn Tigers. Read more in the Auburn Plainsman. Hugs and more hugs for Taylor and Martha .

Hi Martha,
That certainly is an exciting event and you got some great pictures! I bet people come looking for you and your camera by now - being in your blog would be a good thing!
~
What an honor to be one of 100 most influential people in the world! I was happy to see you on the list in ’05 and not the least bit surprised and I feel honored to sort of know you even if it is only through the media. It’s my pleasure to be your fan – you have no idea how much you have influenced me! Thanks for all that you do so tirelessly! Trish

Wow...you and Mr. X in pic # 11 look soooo good together. Where did you get the silver jacket? Would not go with the boots you wore in Toronto that I got a pic of on my shoes blog but it's hot!

Hi Martha, What glorious photos of many of the people who attended this fantastic event. Everyone looked like they were having a marvelous time. You looked absolutely superb and I'm sure you had a fabulous time, also. I remember back in 2005 when you were one of the wonderful honorees. I'm so happy you were included to attend this event. Hope you had fun at the Hudson River Park event today. Love. Jan

.
This is the life!.
.
I think you are one who will receive the honor next year if not this.
.
Seems like you've gone around the sun with 'living' this last year. In addition to receiving a stockpile of accolades and taking on manifold acquisitions, you've empowered your own being with ENERGY blue ribbons breaking the speed of light!.
.
I love all that you do and how beautifully you do it.
.
I live this style of speed flash dancing myself, though anonymously, to preserve my love of privacy. And most honestly, I wouldn't trade this life of explosion for all the color in the sky!
.
Health Be Yours!
