From a Discussion About Social Media to Love at Pastis
I recently attended a really fun event called The Digital Content NewFront, hosted by Digitas and The Third Act held at Skylight in Manhattan. Now in its third year, this gathering brings together content creators, distributors, talent, and brands to harness digital creative media opportunities. This year’s speakers were inspiring and informative and I had an especially good time with keynote interviewer, Kara Swisher and Arianna Huffington from the Huffington Post.  The three of us shared some really good chemistry as we discussed modern social media.
12 Kara Swisher, the keynote moderator of the event, decided to do an impromptu Flip video interview with me in the green room before we took the stage.
20 We had an in depth conversation about Twitter use and other social media tools in our business worlds.
22 After the panel, I decided to go to Pastis with my publicist, Susan Magrino and Nicole Sutliff and my social media guru, Eliad Laskin.
23 Pastis http://www.pastisny.com/ is a French bistro located in Manhattan's meatpacking district opened by Keith McNally.
24 Executive Chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson and Chef de Cuisine Pascal Le Seac'h prepare a menu that combines hearty Provençal dishes with moderately priced bistro fare.
25 A very nice shot of me between Susan and Nicole. I generally try to avoid bread, but the bread at Pastis is a must.

Amazing location! i love that place! Martha, pleassse check out my website http://www.christmascreatures.com

Hi Martha, Thanks for taking us along on another great day in New York City. It's easy to tell that you and Arianna had a great time being interviewed by Kara Swisher. What an interesting site for the interview. I'll bet the boxed lunches were great. How fun to go to Pastis later on. I love the photo of Susan, Nicole and you at Pastis! Congratulations to Lauren and Andrew! What a cute couple! Love, Jan

Hi Martha!
Just wanted to thank you for a great session at TWTRCON on Monday. You and your colleeagues at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia are truly industry leaders in your adoption and usage of social media and it was a pleasure to hear you speak about why these platforms, specifically twitter, matter to you and your business.
I agree with your position that Twitter accounts and tweets need to be authentic, and I can completely understand why you only tweet for 5 minutes a day!
My colleague, Ben Whitford, covered your session for SmartBlog on Social Media, a SmartBrief blog, and he distilled key takeaways from your presentation here: 4 social-marketing tips from Martha Stewart, http://ow.ly/1ZmA9.
Your thoughts really resonated with our over 55k readers--thank you for continuing to be a model of success!

Another great reason to follow your blog is the bird's eye view of great places to visit. I've never visited NYC and would love to do so. Thanks for great information/pictures.
