Honoring Three Remarkable Women
Last Thursday, May 19th, I was invited to attend a luncheon of the UJA Federation of New York Professional Women’s Philanthropy, held at 583 Park Avenue in Manhattan. The reason for this gathering was to honor three influential women – Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia’s very own Darcy Miller Nussbaum, Lincoln Center’s Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, and Jessica Seinfeld, who has organized the Baby Buggy charity. Following the luncheon, these three remarkable women from the worlds of publishing, fashion, and nonprofit, took part in a panel discussion led by the very amusing celebrity stylist and TV personality, Robert Verdi. Darcy, Stephanie, and Jessica spoke of the challenges of balancing their work, their families, and their philanthropic endeavors. Congratulations to all! And, to see more, please visit Darcy’s blog called The Bride’s Guide.

Hi Martha,
You must be very proud of Darcy – I would venture to think she is like family to you after all these years. Many of us in TV and magazine land have been admiring her talented work for years and of course we all watched most of her gorgeous model wedding on your Martha Stewart Living show. Now that was a fabulous wedding! Congratulations Darcy! You are quite a little trooper to do all that you do. Bless you. Trish

Hi Martha, What a delightful blog post about these Three Remarkable Women! All three of them certainly deserve the honor they received and that wonderful luncheon must have been a fantastic event! All of these photos were terrific! How great to see so many family members and friends of those honorees at that event! Darcy's young kids sure must have had a fun time! Loved seeing Jane Heller and her lovely new daughter-in-law, Gael Towey, Jerry Seinfeld, etc.,etc.,etc.! The article you shared was great to read and Darcy's blog post was fantastic, also! Can't wait to see Sara Foster on your TV Show again Today! The Daily Wag looks like fun again when Francesca and Sharkey are checking out 'New Plants for the Walkways'! Hope you have a lovely, dry, warm day today! Jan

Congratulation to the 3 ladies. I am sure because they have worked so hard to make things better the future is much brighter for anyone associated with their causes.
I always enjoy Darcy and her girls. She is so cool and collected with them. What a great upbringing they will have. Of course Dad and Dad get much credit for the girls postive smiles and view on life.
