My Latest Appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
I’m going to back up a bit and return to my book tour from Los Angeles. On Wednesday, day one of the tour, at 4:30 in the afternoon, I taped an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Jay and I have a very friendly rapport and it’s always great fun to be on the show. Perhaps you saw it, but, if not, here are some backstage photos and video clips of the appearance.
1 At the start of my book tour in Los Angeles, I made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Here I am with my makeup artist, Daisy Schwartzberg, in the purple green room/dressing room before the show.
2 There's my name plaque outside my door.

9 Here I am with Jay's first guest, Taylor Lautner, the 19-year-old actor who is famous for his role as Jacob in the Twilight movies. He was a lot of fun, for a young guy!

14 A Tonight Show producer brought me my favorite Le Pen in my current favorite shade of light green.

I'm glad you enjoyed being on Jay's show. I didn't see it, but...I don't get to see anything anymore.
Thank you for the Blogs. As least, I can keep up that way. I haven't even seen the cooking show on PBS in a Loooooooooog time.

I was so excited to see you at the Macy's showing at the begining of the month! I did not get a book
I would love to have a copy! I did happen to get a picture of you coming out the elevator! I wish I could post it somehow! You looked very pretty in person as you do on Jay's show

The purple green room/dressing room looks stylish. Just an observation, I noticed the pictures in that room hung lower on the wall. Makes sense that you would spend time sitting in the green room getting made up and waiting to go on air that they would hang the pictures eye level. Martha, love the shoes you wore, killer!

Hi Martha, What a fun time you had on Jay Leno's delightful late night TV Show! He is probably the best late night comedian around and the two of you get along so well that it is especially fun to see you together again!! I almost missed the show, but I woke up just in time to see it, Thank God! Hope you go there again whenever you can. These photos and comments about behind the scenes are terrific-I love them all! I was watching and darn if I didn’t fall asleep just before you came on. I woke up to Jimmy Fallon but the next day, I watched online. I hope this is the link which I shortened: http://bit.ly/tXtf73 I thought it was a very cute and yes flirtatious show and lots of fun. You and Jay made Taylor blush! Haha You also looked great with just the right amount of make-up on. Daisy does a nice job of making you look natural the way you should. Your shoes were gorgeous and kudos for still being able to walk in something so high. I would think I was on stilts!
