The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, NYC

I am pleased to announce that Martha Stewart Living has taken part in The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt, a creative charity initiative taking place in New York City, beginning on the 1st of April through the 26th.  The Big Egg Hunt has hidden more than 260 massive egg sculptures, each about 2.5-feet tall, throughout the five boroughs of New York.  In addition to our own creation, the other eggs are the unique work of famous artists and designers alike.  The public has been invited to hunt down these masterpieces and check in via a smartphone app, called The Big Egg Hunt NYC.  After today, the last day of the hunt, the eggs will be collected and displayed all together for one week in Rockefeller Center.  Following that, there will be an auction at Sotheby’s to sell the pieces, with proceeds going to Studio in a School, an organization that brings arts programs to public schools, and to Elephant Family, an organization working to save the Asian elephant.  Here are some of my favorite eggs from the event.
