10 The event took place in the international ballroom of the Washington Hilton hotel in D.C. Every seat at every table was filled. This was my table - #109.

21 The venue was filled with media - paparazzi from every reporting organization was there.
22 Before everyone entered the ballroom, attendees gathered in the hotel's basement-level concourse.
23 Of course, there was a lot of security at the Washington Hilton hotel. Police dogs, and secret service had every corner and hall covered.
24 The ballroom was very large, and to comfortably fit everyone inside for a sit-down meal required a lot of organization and planning.
25 More than 2500 people attended this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner.
26 Two large monitors were positioned strategically, so everyone could see what was happening at the Head Table.
27 After the event, people were still talking and laughing.
28 I also appeared on Bloomberg Politics' "On the Red Carpet". I spoke with John Heilemann and Walt "Clyde" Frazier, former NBA basketball star. US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker was also there.
