"The Orchid Show: On Broadway"

Last Monday, I spent a good deal of time at the amazing New York Botanical Garden, inside the magnificent Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.  I was there with my television crew to film a beautiful show for Easter.  It happens to be the NYBG’s ninth-annual orchid exhibition and it was so much fun to use these fabulous orchids as the backdrop for our Easter shoot.  Unfortunately, I cannot show you any photos of that subject just yet, but I do have some pretty amazing pictures of the orchid show to share with you.

This year’s display is entitled The Orchid Show:  On Broadway. Tony award-winning set designer Scott Pask and image-maker Drew Hodges collaborated on the design, using orchids to create elements from some of Broadway’s most iconic theaters.  Beneath the domes of America’s largest glasshouse, more than 300 types of orchids are displayed, with thousands of plants forming dramatic curtains, arcades, and chandeliers.  The Orchid Show:  On Broadway is simply spectacular!
