- Harry Connick Jr. tapes his daytime entertainment show in New York City. I am always happy to be invited – we have such a fun time.
- The day’s audience was very enthusiastic and eager to learn new holiday decorating ideas. The piece of equipment in the center is called a jib, which is used to maneuver a camera from up high, giving viewers a varied perspective of what is shown on set.
- Here is my demo table ready to be wheeled out – it is prepped with everything I need to show how to decorate snowflake cookies to use as place cards.
- Here is the second project for my demo – a fun holiday centerpiece using pomegranates.
- And here are the napkins we will fold. Folding dinner napkins is so easy to do – and they can make such a lovely impression at your table.
- There is a lot that happens behind the scenes of a television show – there are several technicians controlling light and sound, so everything looks and sounds its best for viewers.
- Just before going on set, I stopped for this quick photo.
- The set is decorated in festive green and red surrounded by giant snowflakes for the holidays.
- Here I am waiting for my cue to walk out.
- Here you can see members of the HARRY Band playing as I go out to greet Harry and the audience.
- My makeup artist, Daisy Schwartzberg, stays near a monitor during all my television appearances to make sure I look my best.
- Harry and I talked a bit about my holiday memories and my family.
- Here, Harry and I are talking about pomegranates, Punica granatum. This fruit is typically in season in the Northern Hemisphere from September to February, making it a popular holiday fruit for so many of us.
- We’re painting our pomegranates for the centerpiece. We are using Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Metallic Acrylic Craft Paint in gold, and applying it with my Martha Stewart Large Stencil Brushes – all from Michaels. goo.gl/UcghtD
- And here we are folding the napkins for the table. You have to watch the segment today to get the how-to.
- This is our table pre-set with our centerpiece, napkins and place cards. Tables can be prepared any time before Christmas Day – it’s an easy task to cross off your list.
- On this table are pieces from my “Winter White” Collection found exclusively at Macy’s. I love this elegant seasonal take on our dinnerware – and the tablescape can be used throughout the winter season – not just Christmas. goo.gl/9Ut4vX
- Here is a closer shot of the table, so you can see our Embossed Dinner Plates, Silver Figural Snowflake Salad Plates, bowls, platters, and glassware – all from my Collection at Macy’s.
- Here is a good view of the centerpiece with pomegranates all around painted in an iridescent gold – so beautiful.
- Harry and I posed for this nice photo at the end of the show. Be sure to watch “Harry” today – at 2pm EST here in New York City. Check times for the show in your area. https://harrytv.com/watch/
