My assistant Liesl's wedding revisited and this time on TV, too!
Update:
Do you remember last October when I showed you the photos taken at my assistant, Liesl’s wedding? Well that was a very popular blog and I decided to put it up again. I also want to inform you that her wedding will be featured this Saturday evening on the Style Network - check this link for times in your area!. You’ll also be able to read about it in Martha Stewart Weddings, on newsstands December 29th. It’s beginning to look a lot like Liesl and Kevin’s wedding all over again!
On September 26, my assistant, Liesl Menning and her fiance, country musician Kevin Haynie, got married in the outskirts of Nashville, Tennessee, in front of 100 guests. I don't want to tell you too much about it on this blog because the wedding is being featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, on newsstands December 29. Also in December, there will be a one-hour show about the wedding on the Style Network. Also, make sure to visit WeddingWire if you are planning to tie the knot soon!
I will tell you that the food was wonderful and so was the music. The award-winning bluegrass group the Grascals performed, as well as the Time Jumpers, an award-winning western swing band, and country star Billy Dean. The famous Josh Turner was even there! Please have a look at these photos. Liesl certainly looks beautiful and Kevin, quite handsome. It was a really fun and memorable wedding. Don't forget to check out their honeymoon photos on the Brides' Guide blog!. And check out Kevin's music!

Can't wait to read all about it!
Big congrats to the newlyweds!

What a wonderful Wedding Martha....my niece had a country Wedding earlier this summer and it was amazing....they actually rode in on the horses they used as children....when they started to learn how to ride.....
They set up the ceremony area with bails of hay in a semi-circle pattern and had blankets for people to sit on....
The rexeption was in a field under a tent...it was wonderful....
Congrats to the Newlyweds!!!
Cheers,
Diana

Looks like everyone had a hoe-down show-down good time and Francesca and Sharkey made me smile! I love country music and that area of Tennessee outside of Nashville. I spent a couple of months there several years ago. Liesl is a beautiful gal and Kevin is very handsome and everything looked simply grand. The tree saplings were great gifts and so thoughtful since she made sure to get one from everyone’s state. I'll be sure to buy the Weddings magazine since our cable company just recently took Style away from us. Thanks again, Martha, for your detailed blogs. Trish

Beautiful! Love her gown and that everything was so simple yet elegant. Can't wait to see it in the magazine!

Martha, you also look very stunning and I hope they took pictures of you walking across the grass with your dogs tow (?).
The blog pictures are great. You always make us smile. Loved the dogs, I bet they thought they were in heaven wandering around inspecting and sampling the country life of Tennessee.
I imagine the day was absolutely breathtaking.

What a visual treat, Martha! It was nice to "meet" all these folks! I could go on-n-on here about Liesl and Kevin's wedding...it was just soooo nice - outdoorsy, down-home and relaxed - the pictures just fed my soul! An early picture of Sharkey in her bejeweled necklace was absolutely dear! - her pose was just precious! The one, too, with both Francesca and Sharkey needing to be near Liesl - what sweet little dogs! (My heart turns to mush when it comes to animals).
Liesl's tree gifts to guests were a waaaay-cool idea! - and having them correspond with their state where they live(?) - that is so befitting! A person wants/needs to grow a tree that will thrive in the proper USDA hardiness zone where they live! What planning! Being a member of the National Arbor Day Foundation - well, this is near and dear to my heart!
You have a cream-of-the-crop staff, Martha...you should be very proud. Obviously, Liesl is highly thought of, to have many of you attend and share in her celebration on her special day!

Hi Martha,
Weddings are a beautiful thing and this one looked to be a great outing, as well. But you know, as long as I've followed and commented to you and your company, I've yet to say how much I LOVE DARCY MILLER! Why? Probably because I've never needed a wedding! Dear Darcy is ALWAYS completely alive with her subject: Weddings, Brides, and all things relative!
Here's to Darcy Miller!

Hi Martha, My, what a beautiful country wedding! Everyone looked so happy and the bride and groom looked fantastic. How nice that the weather was so great. Your photos are once again spectacular. I loved them all, especially Francesca and Sharkey. The food looked fantastic and I'll bet it was delicious. Thanks again for sharing another happy, positive blog. Jan

Once again, thanks for sharing such great photos. I love weddings! It is always so interesting to see all the details that are chosen. Looking forward to your upcoming Weddings issue, I still love to read that magazine and Darcy Miller's blog even though I have been married almost 12 years. Looking forward to coming to your show next week!
Thanks again!

Liesl and Kevin many happy years ahead for both of you. The wedding day must have been magical for both of you. The photos are a pictorial in themselves and thank you all for sharing them here in the blog.
Liesl looked so happy and Martha looked fab as usual.
The doggies were having a fun time of it too.
Looking forward to viewing the wedding on Style.

Liesl and Kevin's wedding was beautiful! The sheer wood garland is so clever and I bet it could be packed away and used during the Fall for decoration in Liesl and Kevin's home as a wedding heirloom of sorts.
I relied heavily on MSL Weddings issues and the online wedding guide when I was planning my wedding. The tools took so much worry out of the planning process and allowed me to enjoy every moment leading up to our wedding day.

(...I'm back for a second post today...I can't help it!...)
For fellow-blogger Tinay, well said! Darcy (Miller) IS adorable! Like Tinay, no, I haven't needed any wedding information, so why go to Darcy's blog?! Wellllll... Yesterday, I posted on Darcy's blog (nothing but praise, I might add), after viewing Liesl's (mini) honeymoon pictures. On yesterday's show (Wed, 10/15), you could just see Darcy's passion for what she does - sooooo many good ideas! Time was running out for the segment, and she was just sooooo excited to get out (convey) all the goodies she had for us! She is an absolute doll! It was a wonderful show, as a whole, by the way...
I'm tellin' ya', Martha...Darcy is a gem!...she's this little dynamo!

What a beautiful wedding. Elegant and casual at the same time. The bride looked beautiful and the groom handsome. Great photos.
And best of all everyone looked happy, glowing and having a great celebration. I personally cannot get enough of weddings. I keep hinting to my daughter but no such luck yet! Meanwhile I am collecting ideas..

What a beautiful wedding, can't wait to see more about it in the Dec. issue.
My daughter was just married Sept. 27th, she had a country wedding...it was an outside wedding at 6:30 in the evening, the weather was great, everything was just perfect but I am so glad it's over.

I really hope you will get this message from me. I am from South Africa in Port Elizabeth and I watch all your programmes religiously. Thank you sincerely for all your lovely ideas for just about anything under the sun !!! I love to look at all your photos of your farm, gardens, doggies etc. You seem to have just about something of everything. How blessed are you !! I would like to know wether you have a family, husband and children and other. Would like to see what they look like. As pretty as you ? I was watching one of your programmes where somebody did flower arrangements with "Calla lilies" I wish i could send you pictures of our "Callas" (called Arum lilies in South Africa} growing wild in the field. I took some lovely pictures in August {Springtime here !!) down near Capetown. I am a floral artist and just love anything that grows, blooms and produce seeds and fruit. I enjoy your programmes, thank you, keep it up !! Regards Duifie Barnard.

What a lovely wedding! Beautiful bouguet and I loved the table setting with the CD. My favorite was the garland on the barn window. I have a simple star ornament from Germany that is made of thin slivers of wood and the garland reminded me of it. That garland would be beautiful used in a German Christmas setting!

What a lovely event. I know the music was beautiful to add to the atmosphere, with a beautiful bride, a handsome groom, and of course a beautiful location. The clasical guitarist, Roger Hudson, the classical guitarist and composer is a friend of mine.
Roger's music can be found at http://www.rogerhudson.com.
It would be great to get the word out of his beautiful music, and not let this music be passed by as just another guitarist in Nashville.
Who is the photographer is who shot the wedding?
Best wishes to the newlyweds, Liesl and Kevin
Thanks,
Donna

Martha,
So sad my husband Chip and I missed this beautiful day of Liesl and Kevin's. As a friend of Liesl's I know she must be over joyed with all your help, you made a very special day 1000 times more special for a wonderful woman! Liesl deserves this kind of joy in her life, she is a natural sweetheart!
All the details were perfectly thought through. Loved everything from the bouquet to the jelly jars to the embroidered napkins. The lighting was also amazing.
Can't wait to watch style, and buy the wedding issue.
Wonderful day, wonderful friends!
Thank you for caring so much for a very special friend!

Wow, talk about the perfect dress — it looks like it was made just for her! Liesl looks absolutely gorgeous. I love how glamorous this wedding feels in such a rustic setting. I can't wait to see the Winter issue of MSW to get the full details. Congratulations, Liesl and Kevin!

Hi Martha, How wonderful that Liesl and Kevin's wedding will be on The Style Network this Saturday. I love watching all of your shows and your appearances on any network. Why is it that the reruns of your daily show are not always on the Fine Living Network like the used to be? If ever I missed your show, I knew I could watch it the next day on FLN. I loved your appearance as a judge on Bravo's Top Chef. When is your next "Ask Martha"? When you were giving us the next date, you got cut off. Thanks for all you do! Jan

Gorgeous and Green: A Martha Stewart Wedding. Did anyone happen to watch the program of the wedding one of Martha's ####'s, Liesl Menning today on The Style Channel?
I thought the special turned out so well and I liked it very much, the hour passed by swiftly. I wish Liesl and her new hubby Kevin a wonderful marriage and new life in TN. Martha mentioned Liesl will be leaving her employ to move to TN in Feb.
The wedding turned out nicely, Darcy and MSLO team did a great job with the beautiful barn and decor.
It was fun to see Martha there and her doggies Franny & Sharkey. A delightful setting, looked like everyone had a very nice time.
I have spoken with Liesl a few times on the phone last year and she was very nice to me, I hope she has a very happy life ahead her hubby seems so nice and good to her..
A well put together special.
Nice job MSLO weddings team.
Good luck and best wishes to Liesl and Kevin.

Looking for an article I believe you did on Wedding Cupcakes, displayed in lieu of a wedding cake.
Wedding will take place in Jonesport, Maine -- not far from Sealand.

I fell in love with Liesl shoes that she wore the day of her wedding. Does anyone know who made them or where i can get them?

On The Style Network production of Liesl and Kevin's wedding she pronounced corn pudding "corn puddin'" and said she was talking Tennesseeian. Well, guess what. She is not talking Tennesseeian she is talking "Southern" us folks down here in Georgia also say "corn puddin'". So, put that in your pipe and smoke it!!! Welcome to the South Liesl!!!
