Thanksgiving Dinner at The Four Seasons
In yesterday's blog, I told you about eating Thanksgiving brunch at the fabulous Per Se restaurant.  I was happy to have all afternoon to walk off that meal because for dinner, we were invited to join Dolly Lenz and her family at one of my favorite places in New York City, The Four Seasons.  Dolly www.dollylenz.com is vice-chairman at Prudential Douglas Elliman in Manhattan and has been the top-selling real estate broker in the United States. She also happens to be my daughter, Alexis's real estate agent. It was such a fun evening filled with laughter and great food.
1 My daughter Alexis, Joseph Lenz, Jennifer Lenz, and me at The Four Seasons Thanksgiving dinner. We had a great time and the food was delicious.
2 Alexis and Joseph laughed a lot - the stories!
3 Kevin was very happy with his turkey dinner.
4 Julian, one of The Four Season's owners, poured wine, sliced truffles, and flirted with all the women!
5 Dolly Lenz, our hostess for the evening, was so much fun!
6 Martin Miller, Darcy Miller Nussbaum's dad, stopped by to say hello. He was there with his lovely family.
7 Daisy Miller Nussbaum looking very stylish
8 Ella Bea Nussbaum looked so darling.
9 Every table was given a beautiful roasted turkey.
10 I had buttery and briny oysters to start.
11 A crab meat salad with shavings of white truffle - it was very good, I was told.
12 What is Alexis contemplating?
13 And what is Kevin thinking about?
14 What is Joseph really thinking?
15 Ah, that's better - there seem to be many wine glasses!
16 Here we are awaiting dessert.
17 A dining table very well used
18 A very divine Grand Marnier souffle

I just love your blog, but I wonder about something. Doesn't Kevin Sharkey have a family of his own? He seems to spend all of his holidays with you.

MY QUESTION WAS THE SAME AS "PATTY." DOES KEVIN HAVE ANY FAMILY OF HIS OWN? ANYWAY THE MEAL LOOKED SPECTACULAR. AND I KNOW IT FELT GOOD TO SIT BACK FOR A CHANGE AND JUST ENJOY THE MEAL BEING PREPARED BY SOMEONE ELSE...I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON "WHATEVER MARTHA" TONIGHT...

Hi Martha,
That turkey looks almost as brown as your Turkey 101 with the cheesecloth, and a lot of carving going on too with a bird at each table. What a great place to be for a holiday meal with family and friends. Lucky you and thanks for sharing your day with us! Trish

Martha,
What a great Thanksgiving you had! I have always been more traditional, sharing a homecooked meal with either family or friends in someone's home. But this all looks so fabulous we may have to go into the city next year and dine out with special people just as you did. I am such a fan of Darcy Miller, her daughters are darling!! Thanks for sharing all your great photos.

It just looks like the w-h-o-l-e Thanksgiving day was wonderful, Martha! What better time to be with goodgood friends and family, to celebrate good things and bountiful blessings in our lives!
~
How neat that you bumped into Darcy's family, and (gasp!) those girls of hers!...they are going to be little heartbreakers later in life! They are beautiful little girls, and she should be so proud! They are absolutely dear!
~
God has richly blessed you, Martha! I hope you were able to at least, on that busy day of feasting and downright fun, you were able to experience a reflective moment to acknowledge and give thanks for all the goodness our Lord has afforded.
~

I have had thoughts similar to those posted above concerning Kevin. He seems happy to be included in holidays, weekends in Maine, living in Alexis' building and wonderful trips....like a member of your family. And, he is, of course, entitled to privacy concerning his own family.

Hi Martha, What a fabulous day all of you must have had on Thanksgiving Day. Everyone, including you, must have had a fantastic time eating all of that delicious food and enjoying all of that wonderful wine. I love your photos, especially the ones of two of Darcy's little girls. They are so cute! Thanks for being on 'Ask Martha' twice this week. Even if I can't get through with a question, I absolutely love to listen every time you are on. Jan

Now that it is the holiday season, I am always shopping for unique and beautiful decorations. Whenever I find something I like, I pick it up and it is always from the Martha Stewart Collection. The attention to detail, the quality and price is amazing. Thank-you for making your holiday decorations mine as well.

I guess even the famed Martha Stewart needs to take a break
from cooking a Thanksgiving feast at home. After all the years of
Thanksgiving TV shows, it must be nice for you to have someone else
prepare the meal.
