Launching My New Kitchen Line With The Home Depot
Last Thursday evening, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia hosted a launch event, introducing my new line of cabinets, countertops, and hardware with The Home Depot. I am so excited about these new products. For design inspiration, I looked to the kitchens in my own homes, as well as those of my colleagues. The result is a mix of door and glass designs, color palettes, and practical features in a wide range of styles, so you can create a look that you love at a price you can afford.
This really fun event brought together interior designers, architects, contractors, members of the media, internal MSLO employees, and people from The Home Depot, The Home Depot Canada, Home Decorators Collection, MasterBrand Cabinets, DuPont Corian, and Liberty Hardware. Go to your nearest Home Depot to see these fabulous kitchens!
1 Bob Baird - Merchandising Vice President of Kitchens for The Home Depot, Robin Marino - CEO of MSLO, Kevin Sharkey, and me
2 The kitchen I spoke in has PureStyleTM Seal Harbor themed cabinetry in Sharkey Gray paint by MasterBrand, countertops by DupontTM Corian in Shoreline, and Button Knob hardware in Polished Nickel by Liberty.
3 The Seal Harbor kitchen - inspired by the rustic appeal of a New England coach house and stable, but with the needed functionality of a modern home
5 These ornate small corbels are beautiful embellishments that add practical support to shelves or extended island counters.
12 Weston is a contemporary European kitchen style taking inspiration from 1950s Modernism, inspired by the kitchen of our Chief Creative Officer, Gael Towey.
13 Horizontal wood grain and sleek handles create the sensibility of an architect's custom-built design.
16 Mainstone a 19th century Shaker design with its flat-panel doors and enhanced stacked crown moulding is suitable for kitchen or laundry room.
21 Ox Hill emulates the integrity and grace of the early 1900s. This turn-of-the-century country sunroom has vintage sensibility.
22 With flat center panels, double batten doors, and intricate corbels Ox Hill creates an heirloom-inspired charm.
25 Lily Pond is a timeless design inspired by my modest 19th-century Hamptons cottage. Again, it works for the kitchen and even the bath!
32 Our Paint Finish Tool Kit sold at The Home Depot has eight tools that can create all these decorative finishes.

I really liked the first set of cabinets and I realy like the pull-out shelves in picture 14.
I liked the huge island that looks like a table. It reminded me of the tables I sat at in the first grade, only...a lot taller. And, we had plain old wooden tops.
A midnight snack of some of the food would be very delicious right now.
Have a good weekend, Gloria!!

Gorgeous!
Are they affordable? Are they DIY or do you need to hire someone to install everything?
I desperately need my kitchen and main hall bath remodeled (we live in a 1978 split level) but we've been looking at Ikea because of price point.
Of course Martha Stewart is the best and I would LOVE to have this, but what is the pricing like?
Hoping you have a display/tutorial about this new product on your show so we can learn more about it and the pricing.
YAY!!

I like the Seal Harbor design and the one inspired by Gael Towey's kitchen but our kitchen is so small there would be no room for an island and I would want one. We'd have to redo everything so I guess I'll just hang out at Home Depot and pretend one of those kitchens is mine! I wish you much luck with this kitchen line at the Home Depot. Trish

When our Economy is so awful and during these hard times in United States economy, you are doing us all a great srvice going on. I Have owned My home for 50 years and it needs work but property taxes and losses make it financialy impossible to start anything except most basic needs at this time. I am still inspired by you and your love for Home.

Went to Home Depot last weekend and checked out your new line of cabinets. They are very well made and very reasonably priced for the quality. Wish my Home Depot had the great displays you set up at the MSL headquarters. Such great inspiration! You should film a segment for your show.

Hi Martha, Thank you all for presenting this fantastic blog about your new kitchen cabinets, counter tops, islands, etc. at The Home Depot! Everything you showed looks fabulous and I need to go back to The Home Depot very soon to see all of it and pick out the parts that I need to improve my old 1955 kitchen! I have sliding doors on my cabinets and I would love to have any of the kind you have displayed. My counter tops are like linoleum and I have always wanted Corian forever because it looks so beautiful. Thanks so much for this fantastic blog today! I started my day listening to a repeat of 'Ask Martha' on Sirius Radio at 7AM and after taking my little DDR for a nice long walk, came home to find this magnificent blog here on your wonderful website! What a great way to spend a cloudy Saturday! Thanks again, Jan

Martha,
Truly lovely cabinets and kitchens at Home Depot! Can't wait to see the line in person.
I really like the Seal Harbor one...I love Bedford Gray!!
I have already painted our home with your Martha Stewart paints. We made it into a stain (main color - thunderhead and trim- mourning dove!) We even repainted our garden shed in more Martha Home Depot colors.
I thought the colors would look more monochromatic and indeed it did since neighbors and strangers ask what paint colors they are and love the house!
I have been toying around thinking of redoing my kitchen..hmmm may be a new excuse to do so with these beautiful pieces!! LOL
I especially like the wood graining tool that you use. It's one of my favorite design textures.
With much success on your new line!!

How lovely and smart the cabinetry designs are. We want to put new cabinetry into our lakeside vacation home so we will certainly be considering this line. Seal Harbor would likely work well for us.

I just ordered your Seal Harbor PureStyle in Ocean Floor with Shoreline counter tops yesterday. A Home Depot designer helped me design my new craft room like the one you have featured in your catalog. I've been searching for a long time trying to find the perfect cabinets and finding them in Home Depot was amazing. Thank you for giving me the inspiration to create a craft room that I've always wanted. It's going to be awesome! I can hardly wait for them to arrive.

Absolutely gorgeous! Makes me want to rip out my cabinets in my apartment and head to the Home Depot to remodel. Unfortunately I live in a rental-too bad. I will be going to the store to browse and dream though.

There is nothing more fun than the idea and follow through with remodeling into something fun and functional. My problem, finding the carpenter that can make it happen.

Emeril would be at home in any of these kitchens
cooking Red Marble Steak. There is just something about a man from Louisiana! Your new show on Hallmark channel is absolutely wonderful. I have a story of my blond son who smiled at a monkey but never knew the secret until I watched MARTHA today on Hallmark Channel Home. Thanks for sharing your zest for living with the world..

No one seems to be aware that AT&T uverse customers in Dallas do not receive the hallmark channel. Even though your info says it is channel 176. Dallas uverse does not have the channel. What a disappointment for a lot of Martha fans.

What a gorgeous range of styles, filled with impeccably designed details that are so often missed out in other kitchen designs.
I live in the UK and am so sad that I won't be able to use your line in renovating my kitchen next year. I'll have to settle with getting what I can shipped over, perhaps some knobs.
Please take the UK by storm, Martha!

Hi Martha, since you went to the Hallmark channel, I am not able to view your television program. I so miss seeing you, and wonder if you would be offering your programming in Ontario Canada.

Martha, I am so sorry that AT&T cancelled the Hallmark channel. My daughter and I have watched you from your first show. We all miss you very much. I sure hope that in the near future AT&T will reconsider and put the Hallmark channel back as part of their programs. Sincerely, Anne and Catherine

Martha,
Congradulations on your new kitchen line at Home Depot. The seal Harbor kitchen is dreamy with the color you have chosen. The corian that looks like stone is fantasti! Your laundry center also gave me a few ideas since I am moving into a brand new home in just days and need to reinvent the laundry room and have maximum space for gift wrapping and crafts. You gave me a great idea with the stacked washer and dryer to give me more space! Thank you so much.
