Valentine's Day With the MSLO Digital Team
I hope all of you are enjoying this Presidents’ Day Weekend. I thought we’d do something a bit different on this holiday and feature a Valentine party, which the digital team at MSLO held last week. That department likes to celebrate holidays and to honor birthdays and it’s very nice to see their efforts.
1 Every year, the Digital Editorial team pulls together a loving spread to celebrate Valentine's Day, complete with a bottle of sparkling...cider (since it's noon on a Tuesday).
3 Cari Wolfert baked some chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing just because they're 'better together' :) Melted pink candy piped into hearts adorn the tops of these cute treats.
4 Danielle Black baked these Salted Toffee Squares - a HUGE hit - from one of our favorite Everyday Food recipes. http://www.marthastewart.com/316680/salted-toffee-chocolate-squares
7 Leslie Pariseau made some stellar World Peace Cookies to spread the love this Valentines Day. These icebox cookies include fleur-de-sel and a hint of espresso.
8 No, we didn't manage to make these. The sugar cookies were a treat from an old fashioned New York Bakery, La Delice on 27th and 3rd.

These are great photos as day of love continues year around. Loved the reminder that just a few quick takeaways on a break brought together at the office make a 'party'. Our grandchildren think that attention to color and a drink for children only such as sparkling juice makes any family occasion extra special. Happy President's day.

What a "sweet" Valentines's day afternoon ya'll had! It's nice to see co-workers enjoying each other's company and celebrating special days together and I agree with you Cari, chocolate and peanut butter ARE better together!

These photos are so delicious looking and I would love to taste all of those yummy cookies and the Maine fudge-my mouth is watering! As I said before, you have the best crew there at MSLO as well as those at your Bedford farm! How fun to see these terrific blogs whenever possible! Hope you all had a great President's Day weekend! Forgot to tell you I got your Martha Wrap foil + parchment in one at Safeway and I love using it all the time-it's the greatest! Hope you have another great day! I'm missing The Daily Wag today because a new one hasn't been installed yet! Jan

Martha,
I am curious if you actually eat the sheep, turkeys and chickens you raise.

I imagine it is fun testing the recipes, comparing ideas and just enjoying the event. What a great place to have departmental parties and cheery celebrations. The best is everyone knows the food is going to be good---no day old donuts or cookies from a grocery aisle.
